hello everyone!i hope you’re all doing great! I just wanted to say something about this collections availability at target. I was convinced that these weren’t available in any Utah targets (where I’m from), because on brickseek it said they were not in stock and on my target app it said “cannot be shipped”, so I just figured that they hadn’t arrived in Utah target stores yet.
However, they have arrived in the 2 targets that I visited yesterday. I know not everyone is from Utah, but I figured that maybe other people from other states hadn’t gone to look at their local targets because of inaccuracies of website and apps, staying that they were unavailable. Another reason why I wanted to tell you guys about them being in stock (again, at least at 2 near my house) is because you can save $10 off a $50 purchase or $25 off a $100 purchase! This coupon IS just for toys (and some toys are excluded), but my little pony is not! So if you have the $$$ and you dont have this set, now is a good time to buy it. You just need a target account and the coupon should appear on like the homepage of the app or something and I believe the coupon expires the 17th! I apologize if this coupon isn’t a national coupon, but it appears to be. I hope this helps someone out!

Whoa! Sparkler variant! Looks like they may have made her hair more vintage-accurate. I was surprised to see the whole unicorn/ pegasus set at my local Indiana Target yesterday, more surprised to see they had doubles of Gusty and Sparkler, .....and then COMPLETELY SURPRISED to see that the two Sparklers had different hair designs! Notice that the one on the right has multi-lingual packaging. Heart Throb, Surprise and Gusty's packaging was multilingual too, but I didn't see any difference in design between them and the images I found online.

Has anyone made side-by-side pictures of all of the original versions of these ponies vs their retro rereleases? Sometimes I can't really tell the difference unless it's kind of obvious like (at least the first version of the rerelease) Sparkler's mane and tail.

Here are two I took ages ago and forgot to share. I also removed BF Applejack from the box and did a side-by-side comparison of them, but I can't seem to find the photo. (It's the comparison photo on her Target review.)

Seashell is out of production now, so a little harder to find. She's on my list, too.

As far as out-of-production goes I'm still hoping to find Cotton Candy, Butterscotch, Blossom(?), and Bow Tie. Windy and Parasol too if they count. Of course, if I can't find them for not too much more than the retail price then I'll just get vintage.

And it's a shame.. I at least have a vintage Skyflier, she was one of my thrift store finds. But I know not everyone has that kind of fortune.

I found Gusty at Target today and pounced. She looks gorgeous, but her mane is combed the wrong way. How hard will it be to comb it the proper direction?

@ZeldaTheSwordsman Well, its not like Skyflier is rare. I nabbed mine on eBay for like $6.

Combing the repro's hair back in the correct position is easy.

So what's this I hear about them making Twinkle Eyes? I've heard on the arena that they are making Sweet Stuff, Gingerbread, Sky Rocket and one other pony, but I haven't seen any of it on their site.

Also, where those baby ponies at?

Hey everyone! Just went to Target in Madison, WI. I didn’t see a display or anything for the 35th anniversary ponies, but I decided to ask an employee if they were familiar with the new releases. He looked them up and discovered they had 4 in the back. Brought them out to me and i nabbed them all! Got Surprise, Gusty, Sparkler, and Heart Throb. So even if you don’t see any ponies or display, ask

I went to my Target earlier this month and the toy section was obliterated. I found ONE Repro, and that was Surprise. She was at the end of the aisle, her box turned to the back so you couldn't tell which one it was, but my trained eyes spotted that box art and I ran over to it. I am HOPING I find the Sparkler variant (*drool*) and a Gusty still. I'll probably head to Target tomorrow but mine gets wiped pretty quickly of retro-pony stuff.

I want to find the next wave of Earth ponies - all I want is Lickity-Split, Cherries Jubilee and Posey. Those haven't reached Washington state yet.

The only way I can find them in store is by 1. Driving all over searching, or 2. Calling and speaking to the toy department representatives. I’m on pretty good terms with two of the toy/electronics managers. I used to live across the street from one and E and I would go make use of their a/c or just to get out and walk. The manager there always emails me now and they’re all usually willing to hold what they have until the next morning. If you have the individual numbers it helps loads. Then, after calling, at least you get something for driving around.

If I had a dollar for every time I've walked into Target with the specific intention of getting the new Unicorns/Pegasus set and was met with crushing disappointment, I would be able to buy them all at the inflated Amazon prices. XD The pony selection in general was destroyed after the holidays, so I'm just enjoying the waiting game I guess.
