Been on a bit of a Battlestar Galactica kick lately. It gave me the inspiration to do a Colonial Warrior outfit for Megan (which I haven't started on yet). Having that idea in my head in turn gave me the crazy idea to make a toy Colonial Viper built to seat G1 ponies. And I have started on that.
First thing I did was build the cockpit box. This was important because it would determine how I proportioned the rest of the fighter. It's measured width-wise for the Bowtie pose (because that's one of the wider standard poses) and lengthwise for the Posey Pose (because that's long)
The second thing I made was the lengthwise former for the fuselage (Which you can see being worked on in the first pic).
Next up will be either the core of the tail section, or the width-wise formers for the fuselage.
