Besides buying and trading ponies, are there other activities that happen at my little pony collector conventions?

I've never attended one, so I'm just curious. Thanks!

I’ve only attended one, the My Little Pony Fair in 2013, and it was a lot of fun. There were contests and raffles and a buffet dinner and guest panels.
The sales floor and general interacting and chatting with other collectors was the highlight for me.
I’m planning to go to the Pony Friends Forever convention this year.
I regretted never going to BronyCon or BABScon. Those seemed a little differently focused (less collector, more fandom) but would have probably still been a blast.

@Roccoco's beautiful art :)

Also, so ive been to meets and ive been to a con!

they both have activities to do, games, panels, raffles, and the best part, SHOPPING!! (i spend way too much lol)

I will be going to PFF this year and i am going to bring a shopping list, cause every time i go with no list, i just buy and buy and buy lol

I'm too far out in the boonies to have ever been to a pony-focused con, but I've scouted out pony stuff at other cons which was cool! HeroesCon in North Carolina a few years back had several of the FiM comic artists and writers there, so I was able to fill up an omnibus with signatures. There were also a couple of MLP cosplayers, lots of secondhand books/comics, and a few other artists who did custom pony art! If all the pony experiences at HeroesCon were so amazing, I can't imagine how cool it would be at a pony-focused convention. I would probably just get overwhelmed and fall over. XD

UK Ponycon typically has special guests, usually actors from the G4 series, and they host costume contests, activities, music, panels and more throughout the day. But the best part for me is always going with friends, the stalls and stallholders who are always really interesting people with unique pony knowledge or cool niche collections, and the fact that there's so much pink and pastel vintagey goodness recently that your eyes will drown in a pastel rainbow. Ooh and the art!
