Hello Everypony! I was a very active member back in 2012/2013 right before I had my daughter. I think I was nesting or something and bought a ton of ponies. I have my favourites displayed beside me in my home office, but I have so many living in my basement stored in boxes that I think it is time to sell a bunch of them. The site changed considerably since I was last on and I have a bunch of learning to do. I want to take the time to price and organize the ponies now, in particular since I am stuck at home for however long. What is the best way to go about determining prices for the ponies? Thank you!

The lovely bluerose has a price guide
Or check the sold listings on ebay. If you check the sold option for filtering it automatically checks the complete box as well. Or you can just browse here, etsy, and eBay ti see what they're listed for. You can always ask about individual or small groups on here, too. (We like if you ask on here and we might get first dibs.) ;)

Thank you so much. I prefer selling on here first as opposed to ebay anyways. I always found it to be a much nicer experience.

Everything that Tak said. I use @bluerose9978 's resource first when checking pony prices. Do be aware that G1 prices have spiked in the last several months, so the prices on that link might be a little low. If you aren't sure, check with ebay sold listings, again as Tak suggested.

If you have ponies from other generations there are other resources around for pricing. Just let us know if you need help! I'm selfishly looking forward to seeing what you have for sale. :winkpony:

Even if it looks like my prices might be low, people price them high on eBay but they may not necessarily get the price they are asking. As mentioned above, checking the sold listing on eBay is a good idea. That's how I get prices for my guide and I update them as often as I can. Some of the harder to find ponies keep going up in price, but the more common ponies seem to generally stay the same or only rise a little in price as time goes buy. Sellers may try to price them higher but in the end, the average prices seem to stay the same.

How much does having a G3 BNIB affect the price?

I have a my little pony jewel pony star dasher 2004 new. I was wondering how much it would sell for. Does anyone have a suggestion of the best place to sell them?
My husband found one at a yard sale for $2 and sold it on eBay for $45 back in 2002. I don’t remember the exact kind but it was used. I can’t even make $12.

How can I find a price guide? I’ve looked everywhere and I’d like to sell some of my extras and stuff. Everyone keeps mentioning guides but I’m having no luck :(
Hi, which generation are you trying to price? Here's bluerose's guide for G1 ponies.

I think they mean if the price on eBay or another platform is $10 then you can reduce it in your head a few dollars before selling on the mlp to as the other platforms charge a percentage of the price of the item. This would give you what the sellers area actually making off of the pony.
