They are the pony vertion of the fairies Tael and Tatl from the legend of Zelda; Majora's mask.

They are twin brothers, and they both are mean.
Tael always makes company to Skull kid and in the beginig of the game he got separly from his twin sister Tatl in a accident, she dosen't like Link's company at first, since she was whit Skull kid, infact she join Link only 'cause her combinence.
