Update on trying to make birth certificates

Managed to visit my bears in the loft again. The ones missing certificates do not have those “style code” tags. Dang.

However… I’ve found a database with all the missing codes on and I’ve been able to get all the information I need by entering them into the Build-a-Bear online certificate maker!

EDIT:
Whilst I could potentially use these codes on the certificates as the key codes, it would mean I may be able to get the ID numbers off the barcodes that’s inside them. There’s no guarantee they’d be there in tact still and I don’t think I’m willing to go digging for them and open them up. So perhaps I’ll leave them on the remade certificates as zeros still. I do like accuracy though…

This is Cinderella the Pumpkin Kitty and Tutu the Polar Bear. Tutu is an exclusive from Gaylord Hotels in Texas. I got her when I worked at Build a Bear. I have a *bunch* more but they're in storage atm.

I found out this week that the 40cm doll clothes on aliexpress fit Build a Bears and ordered a few outfits. I'm so excited! I'll have to remember to post them.
 
Hey! So sorry for the late response. I actually have some new Build a Bear. On my birthday month, I got a Riolu Build a Bear. And she's so perfect. Maybe later I will post a picture of her.

Little kid me would have loved Tutu’s lights, those look pretty. I remember when Pumpkin Kitty first released and I wanted one but then thought that one will never come back again since it was Halloween. Now years later I see Pumpkin Kitty keeps returning. Maybe one day!

Nice, a whole outfit to remind you of the holiday!

When I last got all my BABs out of the loft, they all had some sort of staining on them, the ones mainly closer to the edges of the box… I thought they were safe :unsure: but since deciding to keep Kola, my Koala and BAB no. 4 of 27 (always counted the small ones) out of the loft since, I’ve gotten more attached to him. He’s the only one I never felt that attached to and sometimes wondered why I chose him. I guess it took for me to grow up to realise that actually, he was a good choice
Here he is on my shelf at the moment with my Tys. Please excuse his staining he got from the loft, I don’t know how it happened and I was rather upset when I took them all out the box to find it on them

I got the Sprigatito BAB when he came out, and I'm still so shocked how much people try to charge for him!
He sits on my bed in his little jammies. I need to take a picture!
 
I haven’t gotten anything from BAB in years, but the pokemon really tempt me. I had the rainbow dash at some point but my puppy got to it, unfortunately.

Mudkip would be my first choice, although last time I checked it was out of stock. I also really wanted the Sisu from Raya and the Last Dragon, but I missed that train.
 
Does anyone know the texture of the hearts fur you puppy from 2008, is it different to the modern releases or is it just how it looks in photos?

Personally, I don’t know firsthand but the fur on the older ones were always so soft

A reply says “the original feels much more high quality”. When I look at the clearest pictures to me the new one looks like it almost seems more… smooth? Than fluff? The older one looks like it feels a lot better. So much fluffier. The new one almost feels… na. Like someone copied

Edit: I think they indeed changed the fur texture

That’s what I was thinking, I have the fluffy new one that I got at a carboot but I’m after the original, the smooth fur type is on a lot of plushies I have from the 2000s I believe they stopped using it because it was a lot more flammable it’s unfortunately the texture is as I much prefer it and the new textures of plushies often a lot cheaper compared to them, do you know the current going rate of the older version? I can’t find too many listings but he’s probably the BAB I want the most currently

I noticed so much changed at BAB when Maxine Clark sold the company in I think… 2013? So it could probably also be something to do with that. Ones with tinsel/sparkle fur always felt so horrible

Be Bee used to have really soft fur too until bad washes that I didn’t know were bad for the fur

I don’t know how much older ones go for but the Rudolph I got from Vinted was £7! EBay had priced him up to a lot more like sometimes as crazy as 50. If I remember right, I think Hearts Fur You was a valentines limited edition so if this one is more pricy, that could be why. Be Bee is the Be Mine Dalmatian, also released for Valentines
