Cat gone missing... Help/advice? *UPDATE: We found her!*

Same thing happened with the keys yesterday. They were in the freezer. FREEZER, I TELL YOU! /)-

Hey, at least it didn't end inside an ice cube
 
HUZZAH! I'm so glad she was safe the whole time! Cats... I tell ya. They are the wackiest creatures.

And don't feel bad! Once we thought our elderly little dog Mange (who had all her fur and never once had mange, the name was a joke that stuck) disappeared. We feared she had gotten outside and run off (she once got out and lost in the dangerous woods here for 10 days, years before). Being that she by then was deaf and somewhat blind, we knew she couldn't last long outdoors. I spent all of the day and most of the night, combing the woods and lake area with my son, hoping to find her. Needless to say we were pretty irked to come home and she comes waltzing out of the laundry room. She'd been sleeping under a pile of laundry. Darn dog. She was 23 when she died, and always a loon!

SILLY KITTY!!!! So glad she turned up!

Our older cat must have found a new hidey hole that we haven't figured out yet. She was recently "missing" for a whole day (in her case, that's unusual, so we were hunting for her off and on all day). She's black, mind you, so she easily disappears when she's under a bed or in a dark corner. (We hunt with flashlights lol) In the evening, she appeared out of nowhere, yawning, like, whussup, y'all? Just needed a long winter's nap I suppose.
 
I'm so glad you found her safe and sound! Don't be embarassed, cats can get in the weirdest places. When he was about 6 months old Tanger somehow managed to sneak into the refrigerator between me getting the milk out for cereal, pouring it, and putting it right back in--about 5 seconds of time. At the time, I lived in a teenie apartment, and could easily see he wasn't anywhere close and I wondered why he was't driving me crazy begging for my cereal milk. Thank goodness I checked the 'fridge just in case or he wouldn't be here right now. Needless to say, he was perfectly fine. He popped out when I opened the door with a look on his face of 'Hi, howya doing?'. After that, I've always double-checked before closing the 'fridge door. I love them dearly, but kitties are crazy sometimes.
