This tops EVERYONE'S list of things to do today. Twitter, Google, and Facebook passwords were stolen through a hack and the hack has just been discovered. Story from CNN below:

2 million Facebook, Gmail and Twitter passwords stolen in massive hack - Dec. 4, 2013

This probably doesn't need to be said, but make your passwords *complicated*. Uses characters, numbers, etc. DO NOT use abc or 123 or ANY variation of the two.

My websites and my AIM name got hacked many years ago, and I was a fool for using a common word password for both. I know better now and all of my passwords are different for each website and log in I visit. Once burned, twice shy.

Luckily, I quit FB back in March, Google back in August, and I've never used Twitter.

After Everypony changes their paswords, Everypony should call their Congresspersons to register your opinions on how major corporations treat their customers.

Just Sayin'.

Stupid hacker.

Luckily I HATE facebook !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! wont say why otherwise I will go into one long rant & get very very very angry

Don't care for the others as well .... too many stalkers in the world is all I can say...

Well, crap. Not long ago I made my FB password a lot more complicated and am just now getting it memorized. *Siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiigh* Better safe than sorry, so off we go.

Probably best practice is to regularly (like, monthyl... at least...) change any passwords you have, particularly for places like FB, email, or anything that might affect financials (including online shopping sites).

And those "security questions" for password retrieval when you forget it? FGS, don't answer them with the truth. MAKE STUFF UP! The truth (mother's maiden name? Please...) is easily discovered and used by crooks.

DBM, I can barely remember my passwords half the time, trying to remember fake info on top of them would be a nightmare. I do agree though that giving that kind of personal information for a security answer is wrong. I try to use "Who is my best friend", "What soda I like", "What was my first car". That kind of info isn't necessarily online. :)

it says in the article that facebook has already notified and changed the passwords of the people affected

"ADP, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and Yahoo told CNNMoney they have notified and reset passwords for compromised users"

so no need to change passwords, if your computer has the trojan horse on it then they will just get your new password anyway when you type it in because it is a keylogger

My password's wern't hacked on my Facebook or my Twitter page
I was able to got ot my pages
