G1 CJ's Pony Scrubbing Adventures: The Adventure Continues!

I am the same way with putting off "spa days". I recently pulled a bunch from storage and am attempting to do cleanup, but it's been very slow going!

:coolpony:The holiday is over... Back to the scrubbing!

For your consideration today, we have my childhood Cherries Jubilee (actually she was my sister's but I confiscated her when sis became "too mature for ponies...")

:CJ::CJ::CJ::CJ::CJ::CJ::CJ::CJ:

She doesn't seem tooooooo bad for her age and considering I'm fairly certain she hasn't been bathed since 1992...

Oh look! Another braided forelock...

:hmph:

*Punches 11 year old self for all the braiding*

:madpony:

Some obvious dirt smudges but overall kind a clean looking, right?

Braid be gone!!!

Let's get to scrubbing!

:blink::blink::blink: Oh. Ohhh......

What's this...?

Do you see that shadowing on the left side of her face...? Yeah... That's not a shadow. That's the line of dirt on the side I haven't yet magic erasered!

Guess she was a bit dirtier than she appeared. I mean, c'mon! That's only 30 years of dirt! And my sister was known to give her ponies an occasional swim in the (brown) pond. Though I'm sure she would have had a bath after...

Maybe.

Are you as excited as I am to see the after pictures?!?! :surprisepony::shock::surprisepony:

She should be dry tomorrow!

Shes looking squeaky clean already!!! :D I didnt realize it was a dirt line at first i was worried for a second haha. Ive done the same thing for fun when cleaning hehe. :lolpony:

Oooo! Where have you ordered replacement flutter wings from @Gingerbread ? I've been thinking of doing that and haven't gotten around to it.

Not gonna lie, my five a day scrubbing got completely derailed this week by my husband's birthday and some other things. Hopefully will get back to it this coming week.
I got a full set from Masquerades Boutique on etsy (it's Nina who I mentioned in another post) but they are excellent and I love them!
I tried making them myself but it's a pain...hers are really good.

Well her basic spa is complete and she is all dry. I think she is in surprisingly good shape, considering how played with she was and the myriad of storage bins she has had to survive in the last two decades. What do you think?!

Her body is oddly squishy, compared to the other Cherries Jubilee I have on hand. But look Ma! No more dirt line on her face!!

She ended out so great!!!! She looks so happy and refreshed!

Oh they all look so lovely! And I really adore TAF Sundance's wavy mane; reminds me of those loose perms that were all the rage in the midwest in the early 90s..... nooooo... I'm most certainly not speaking from personal experience.... >_>
