Hi all! I came across a 1986 Cheeries Jubilee plush pony over on Ebay in fantastic condition. Judging from the pictures she looks so fresh and she was the only one I'd found without major scratches to the paint on her plastic eyes. I haven't received her yet so no new pics yet!

I was wondering how would I go about cleaning her safely? I feel that hand washing would be best because I don't want that beautiful hair to get damaged in the washing machine, though I've never owned a plush similar to this one so I just wanna make sure what the safest way is and how you guys do it too!

Here's a quick pic of her! Super excited for her arrival, she'll be my first G1 plush pony!

So what I have read over the years is basically tie her in a pillow case and put her in the washer

you can read a little more about it here and see how you feel

I'll vouch for the pillowcase. I once washed and dried a plush Cotton Candy in one, and she came out nice.

I usually put them in a pillowcase and wash them on the delicate cycle and then low heat in the dryer. They always come out great, once they’re out of the machine I do add a bit of a spray of my coconut oil hair spray (for dry/damaged hair) to keep the hair nice and conditioned so it does get weak and brittle. (And it smells great.)
