Back in May 2018 I built a custom carry case (inspired by the official Carry Case and Collector's Case) for Megan and Sundance, although I didn't get around to taking a picture of the structural completion until today and I still haven't gotten around to decorating it.

The body is made of cardboard. The dividers/liners are made from cut-up milk bottles, since it's a neutral plastic. The front has rubber flaps attached to both the sides and to the cover, to keep dust out.

I also went through enough bottles of chocolate milk to be able to do a Collector's Case for 12 of the 13 Flutter Ponies, but I didn't get around to starting construction until yesterday.

The main cardboard structure is complete. I can now start installing the dividers, and then build the accessories/clothing drawer.

@Tak , wish you'd commented on the borked image links. I didn't notice that until coming in now with a progress update....

Current status of the Flutter Pony case. I made the embarrassing discovery that I did not actually have enough milk bottles for the job (only 7), and I was only able to buy one more today.

I saw two pictures and just thought my device was glitching. It happens quite often. I figured I'd let you know if it was still like that when I saw it again.

The project is looking good.

Thanks! I hope I'm able to get ahold of 4 more bottles soon...

Do you have suggestions for decorating the Flutter case? I was going to decorate the Megan and Sundance case to look like the "Megan's Place" playset (or at least have pictures of each of its sides on the case sides), but I'm not sure what to do for the Flutters' case.

I'd say a background of trees and sky, maybe? Or you could take inspiration from their backcards.

That could work. I was also pondering doing the Sunstone courtyard.

Progress on the Flutter case at last! I finally gathered the rest of the bottles I needed to complete the compartments. Which meant I could also finally install the "deck" that will form the roof of the accessories drawer.

Well, that update may have been "meh", but hopefully this one won't be.

FINALLY finished the drawer. It should have been done last Saturday, but between trial and error with the fit, and interruptions like somewhat abruptly switching phones on Sunday and schoolwork... It wasn't done until after midnight yesterday (so technically the wee hours of today).

There's only one structural/function step left to do: The rubber dust-guard strips.

It's very creative and you can tell you've put quite a bit of work into it.

It's coming along, can't wait to see the final product.

Thanks, although I dunno if it can be called "creative" when it's a homemade ripoff of an existing MLP item

Welp, feast your eyes. This is the final, at least structurally. Decorating it will have to wait til a better opportunity.

They look very snug in that
Ponies could hide in the kitchen!

I’d say it’s quite creative. You’ve figured out how to make it through recycling existing things and it works. The ponies fit and the drawer opens and closes. Low cost and recycling, woohoo!
I do wonder how you plan to decorate it

Looking forward to seeing it decorated! Honestly I'm amazed you've gotten a cereal box to be sturdy enough to hold all those ponies.
To be fair, ponies are not exactly very heavy toys. I wouldn't be surprised if their combined weight was comparable to the weight of cereal one of those boxes originally held.

Cardboard can also be strong when it's braced adequately, which is another function performed by the plastic liners.

Thank you all for the kind words.

@StormMaeker I was thinking either an expansion of the Flutter Pony box scenery (as Tak suggested), the unreleased Flutter Hideaway playset, or the Sunstone courtyard. Whichever I go with, I'm thinking of having them all on the front panel, in front of their respective cubbyholes. This might result in some being duplicated on other sides, to avoid dullness.

I had never heard of the Flutter Hideaway set before so I gave it a quick look
It looks like that would be such a nice idea to do
