Do Sea Pony clam shells come apart? Update

I need to mail one to Brazil and it would really save money for the buyer if I can take it apart and mail it in a padded envelope. But I don't want to pull it apart and break it.
Well, the very talented Strawberry Fair can get the darn things apart, but even with the pics she provided mine is still firmly in one piece. 00) So, since I don't want to break it I've decided to ship it as is. Fluffythighs, Whizzer emailed me back and she can't get the shells apart without breaking them either! But thanks for the idea.

I am pretty sure that they do come apart, I think me and my mom had done that before. But before you do hopefully someone else will tell you that they can come apart.
