When I use to buy up lots on ebay, there were always fakies in amongst them. I end up with loads of different types, and it made me wonder how many of you actually collect them. I now have lots of them by default. :)

haven't had any for a long time but if I find one I like then I'll likely snag it

I'll take them if I like the way they look. I used to have remco fakies as a kid so I really like those.

It really depends on the fakie. For the most part no however I do like G3 fakies. I have this sparkly green fakie that looks just like a G3. I call her Irish Spring for her beautiful color.

There is one exception to that rule. I have this adorable palm sized chubby purple alicorn fakie. I would love to have another one like her :ponylove:

If they are totally hideous I keep them for lolz. I have maybe two or three that's too horrible to give up on.
I do however collect Takara fakies! I love them!
And I also have a collection of Cutie Club horses but I don't think they fall into the fakie category :)

NO! I only have one that I saved from childhood and she really is pretty ugly! But she's so different because she's a German Fakie pony!

I got her at October Fest when I lived in Germany as a kid (military family)

i wish i could get my hands on a takara fakie. (✿ ♥‿♥) but generally i only buy fakies to make craft projects with, haha!

I don't collect fakies at all, but one time a tiny pink Lanard pony from 1997 in a sitting position with purple hair came in a bag with some ponies and I thought it was really cute so I kept it.

I'm a Pony Ho. If it's equine and brightly coloured, I will grab that sucker up and smooch it allllll the way home. I don't need it to be MLP.

But that is a big plus, though...

I don't. Partly because they're not as good quality as authentic MLPs, and partly because I find 99% of fakies to be either hideous or terrifying (or both). But if it was a very good looking Hasbro counterfeit, then perhaps I'd consider. I have been tempted by some of the giant G3 lookalike fakies before, and a few of the G4 fakies look really authentic. On the other hand, I would LOVE to get Takara fakies. They are SO CUTE.

You might like these Dollar General fakies, lady. They're made with MLP molds and they're in an amazing array of colours. I love their lovely bright hues.

I've got a few friends in Japan and even they can't find Takaras! They're very elusive beasts. And expensive. Teaches me to have poor friends. LOL!

I have some hasbro fakies and some DG fakies I think they are cute. My favorite are the Remco fakies.

Nope. I have more than enough real ponies and space in the Pony Room is becoming limited.

I know that I voted "no, never" on this poll, but today I actually found one of those dollar store fakie babies (like the ones @evilbunnyfoofoo posted) at a charity stall for less than $1... so of course I bought her. :p It was for the animals, don't judge me. o_O She's actually pretty cute and not that poorly made. Texture is a little odd and her neck seam is messy, but the plastic seems pretty thick and durable. I wish that I could say the same about her hair, though, because it looks terrible. I'm thinking of maybe customizing her, but I kind of like her the way she is. I think I might even want to find more of them! :D

I did a Google search and discovered that there are adult fakies that look very similar to these (the same vibrant colours and tacky eyeshadow). I'd like to find one as a mommy for my newfound toddler. Then perhaps I could even customize them to match.

The only fakies that I've seen thus far have been ones with G3 molds and those ones with the creepy glass inset eyes, though. But perhaps if I have a look around at the China Mall there'll be more of a selection. I think it would be awesome to get a lot of them to customize. Then I can make pretty artwork using the fakies and restore the authentic ones, plus my bank account will thank me for not importing ponies. Everybody wins! :p

I have on pink with blue eyes, I named it Pinkie Pie after the TV show
I will post a picture later

I have some childhood ponies that are fakies. I do not collect them. Usually in the big lots there is fakies and I wouldn't mind them (I coud make maybe customs;)) but because nobody around here sells these lots (and buying the pony lot from outside Europe is waaaaay too expensive).
