Has anyone else ever felt drawn to a certain item. I mean not like OMG I want that pony ect. But been look in a thrift store, ebay, forum and there a object that just seems like it wants you and you just feel the need to get it ( providing you can afford it).

Also say you do buy it and it you hold it in your hand and you just feel like a part of your world has come home.

I know this seems silly to say but I got to vintage composite dolls off ebay I already own one she is spirited and I feel like I found some thing I have lost. I just had to get these girls and funny story. My mom saw the one that was expensive and bought her for me no questions ask.

Then she looked at me and was like now you can be happy with her. I was kinda shock at this. My mom did not know what made her want to get the poor doll for me.

I got two babies to work on and fix up but I just feel very connected with them.

Sometimes I set out knowing somewhere there's a toy that needs me. Sometimes I find one, sometimes I don't. Even if it's just my imagination that there's a tug from the toy, it makes me happy thinking I helped it.

I had a strong urge to buy a pretty unicorn pendant I saw at Savers one day. I loved unicorns as a child and young adult and would have loved it then. My interests have changed over the years. I still like unicorns, but not like I did before. I have a pendant I wear of the Egyptian God Anubis all the time now, and I wouldn't wear the unicorn pendant at all, so I left it at Savers. When I next went to Savers it was still there and I was still drawn to it, but I still didn't buy it. I wanted it, but I knew I wouldn't use it, and I wanted someone who truly loved unicorns to have it.

Yes I have lots of times, to the point where sometimes I know that something I want will be waiting there for me until I can afford to get it or when it wasn't meant for me anytime soon. I wonder how that works sometimes? When you and an inanimate object call to each other and know that you suit each other beautifully. Do you guys ever wonder how that works?

More intriguing is if that object is made from something natural, like stones, crystals etc. I refuse to buy mine off the internet, I have to hold it in my hand and see if its compatible with me.

That happened to me when I was looking for a new car. I saw all sorts of photos of cars and they were all just meh. I even went and saw a few at car lots and none of them felt right. Then one day I was at a car lot looking at a totally different car and then I saw it. It was a gold 2008 Impala, and I was drawn to it. It was like, yes! This is my next car! It just felt right, as though it were meant to be.

I shop like this all the time. When I took a sales class it's one of the type of shoppers the emotional shopper. I like to shop like this for Halloween costumes even if I have an idea of what I want to be. Sometimes I shop like that for clothes and accessories.

I know what you mean, I had the same with my ute Sun when I brought her. Yeah I know it's crazy but I gave her a name. I saw her on Trade Me after my old ute was written off & knew she need TLC & a good home.
Lightning loves her to, he missed Blue my old ute so much he had started chasing them looking for her :(

When I was in 2nd grade, I got eye surgery and this pony was in the doctor's office complete with that rainbow accessory. I stared at it the entire time while there and wanted it so bad. Never got it but I found one when I was older
