Does anyone else have a dream home and property that they would have assuming that money, schools, and commute are no problem? I do. I would really love to hear of others ideal living scenarios.

For me it would be acreage, maybe 80, in the foothills near mountains, with fertile soil and a good growing season. I'd want at least three homes on it. I can't handle all that work alone, so I'd need a buddy. Then one home for my daughter and one for me. (I figure the plan is mutable to my buddy's needs, too.) I would want all the homes connected to a series of underground homes, storage, tunnels to each other, and tunnels to escape. My personal home would be mostly underground, with ramps, not stairs, and an above ground portion with an indoor pool, and lots of big windows to read by, or nap in the sunshine. I'd ideally have, dogs, cats, chickens, horses, and either sheep or goats. Lots of trees, a large greenhouse, a field of wilflowers, room to ride. I'm good at dreaming big. My mom always said "go big or don't go". ;)

So... please tell me what you'd like best? A country home, and a flat in the city?

Could I move into the empty house? XD
I honestly don't know. My image keeps changing. I love the desert so much, and nothing will ever beat that beauty for me. However, I know I need to move someplace with a lower altitude and a higher humidity for my health.
It would have been cool to live near the ocean, but now that feels like a bad plan. Maybe a lake? I used to want to live in a big skyscraper in the middle of a city, but I think I've since grown too....something, I don't really know what for it.
By the water, with an excellent view. Preferably not too far from civilization. It would be nice to see the stars every once in a while (I can but better. It was so dark out here when we first moved, you could even see the Milky Way! Now you can see maybe 20 stars at most on a clear night :hmph: ).

So I guess I want a little bit of everything and not too much of any one thing :winkpony:

I'd like to live in a lighthouse or a cabin (it's gotta have an upstairs area) by the ocean, close to the cliffside but not close enough that I'd have to worry about erosion, preferably with a forest close by. No basement or attic because the idea makes me uncomfy ngl. I'd like to be in a place that's rainy and fairly cold but can still sustain a proper garden. It's a perfect set up for a murder mystery but that is ok. I don't want to be close to other people but I do want people to acknowledge my existence,, like a cryptid or something. I'd also prefer that there are as few windows as possible because I have a fear of looking at one at night and seeing something either looking at me from the outside or something in the reflection, granted this could be solved with blackout curtains but whatever. I like moss so maybe have a moss lawn? Also some cedar and pine because they smell nice. It'd be cool if there was a little creek nearby because I like the sound of water. It would be great if the stars were visible when it wasn't raining.

My ideals always change from day to day. I sorely miss my home in the beaches of Toronto, so I would love to buy a home (I know which one I actually want) and something I could renovate and make my own on the inside but keep the charm of the neighborhood on the outside.
Then I would also just love a beautiful 3 bedroom condo in the city, something with a view of the lake or the city. I like to people watch. And a HUGE balcony that I could entertain on.
Or I would love a lager property one that had both safe accommodations for my grandparents and my parents to live separately from me but still in my own home. I’ve been a care giver for my grandparents in one way or another basically since I was in 6th grade so I feel responsible to keep being that person until my parents are gone. I want my brother to live his very best life and I will be the caregiver. Being able to provide for both would make me immensely happy.
Realistically all I need is a two-three bedroom place Where I can have my office and pony room separate from the rest of my home. I prefer to be closer to the convenience of late night or early morning shopping 7 days a week, that country small town doesn’t work for me. I hate when things are an hour + to get to. I’ve done and didn’t like it lol. A home with a view, Near water and mountains would also be good for my soul.
Basically, @Cactusflower I’m moving into your new home when you get it. Ha ha ha!!!!

I would visit all of you!
@quartz_ it would be work taking care of the animals and land, but I don't have anyone, yet. I need to win a good 20 million first. :lolpony: (and you need to enter to win)

@Obsidianleaf the lighthouse sounds great. I understand about the windows, too, and I'm always tempted to peek through the curtains... they don't help. Thankfully the worst I've found peeking back here is a raccoon and a cat.

I think we all agree on water of some sort and stars. We'll all need to visit @Skybreeze for some good shopping, too!

P.S. My little brother is planning, actually, on buying an old missile silo and converting it.

My ideal home is in North or South Carolina. It would be a small house with 2 bedrooms,2baths, and have a beautiful view of the mountains. I also own some land and have a barn with rescue horses that needed homes.
I like to open a therapy riding program for those that need help. Be it physical or mental or you just need to come pet the horses.

I kinda want a camper van or something so I can just be on the road. I love traveling and driving so it seems like a great combo. However, I don't know where my poor ponies and vintage dolls would reside if I lived in a camper. If I were to have a HOUSE-house, I'd want it to be either blue with white trim and white shutters, or yellow with whiter trim and red shutters. OH, or maybe a red color cause the yellow and light blue would start to look dirty quickly. Or maybe like rustic country with that kinda dark honey glazed wood look. It would be fairly small with probably 1 or 2 bedrooms. No galley kitchen, it needs to be an open kitchen. If I didn't have a second bedroom, I'd want an office/study room - that's where some ponies would live. I do want a FINISHED basement, however. And it would be a ponyland/vintageland down there. I would display my ponies, Breyers, vintage dolls, etc. And there would be dehumidifiers of course. There would be a couch and a tv in case I wanted to just chill with the dolls and ponies. I would have a little garden where I'd grow tomatoes and assorted vegetables/fruits and then flowers as well. I also kinda want a fruit tree of some kind. Maybe lemon? Idk. It would have a covered front porch with rocking chairs. (Now that I think of it, my grandmother's house is super close to what I described :surprisepony:. It's not the house I saw in my head, and it doesn't have everything I was thinking. However, it would be kinda cool to live there cause it's the house my dad grew up in and I'm super close to that side of the family.)

That's what I have so far. I might post some pictures to illustrate further what I'm thinking of.

EDIT: It would be on a BIG peice of land and have an attached garage. Not a car port or a detached garage.

I miss living in the North. I moved only because of college. There is beautiful nature here though, but I would love to move back and live on a small farm. I wouldn't keep any animals, except maybe 2 cats, and I really want a Shetland pony. I also want to have my own vegetable garden one day. I love the view of the completely flat meadow you have here - you can see so far and wide!

My bedroom would be in the top of a little tower (build with the farm of course) so I can see everything from there. I want a room with a mirror wand I can use to dance/rehearse/exercise. A big kitchen because I love cooking. The outside of my house would be painted in a faded pink, just because that's my color :cc:

Dang girl! LOL, complete with underground tunnels? You have your own catacombs???? That is awesome! I'm just impressed at the level of creativity and thought you've put into this. I thought I put a lot of thought into my dream house but nope... YOU WIN! lol Your place sounds EPICLY AMAZING! .... So yeah, you should totally do it.

After reading your dream house, I realize mine is small. I just want a pretty little French chateau castle, with 4-5 bedrooms and enough land to make a pretty manicured garden.

Could I move into the empty house? XD

IKR?? As awesome as Tak's place is going to be, maybe we should all just be neighbors.... or on her land! LOL That way we can all hang out whenever we want! lol

Thanks. I've had more alone time in my life than is really "healthy". So I like to imagine possibilities.

Let's just have a pony commune, lol. Honestly, it would be nice to be closer to many of you.

Honestly my dream home would just be a combo of parts of different houses I’ve lived in (we moved a lot). The pool and double wall ovens from one house, my bedroom from another, the bay window from one, the neighbor who's horses used to come visit us from another. Give it 3 other bedroom for my family and add an art studio and a library where I can slide across the shelves on a ladder like Belle and it’ll be perfect! :satisfied:
The location doesn’t matter much as long as it isn’t somewhere freezing like Alaska or somewhere really hot like Arizona

Mine is a mish mash of the houses I lived in, too! Before we moved where we are now, I'd never stayed in the same home for more than 3 years.

I too have been a caregiver in some regards since I was 10 either my sister (born when I was 9.5) to my grandparents to now my son so I have always dreamed of a place similar to @Tak that connects to each other in some way so we can all just take care of each other and not have to leave home. We could all have our separate spaces but be conveniently close at all times. I love my NC mountains so it would be here somewhere with some acreage but not too much so we don't have to spend the weekend doing work and not too far from shopping either. Plus I need good Wi-Fi !! I also really enjoy being in a small town where I get at least 100 trick-or-treaters minimum on Halloween night.

Haha cool! 3 years? That’s ALOT of moving, I think the longest we lived in one growing up was around 5 years

My dream home is where I am right now. I'd make a few changes of course, with a no holds barred limitless budget, I'd be crazy not to!

First, I'd want more land. We have 23acres and I would like more. I'd like the land to be all in one piece, as our property is two hunks of land, 11 and 12 acres each, separated by a rocky road. We only have one pond, I'd like two more maybe. I'd like a large set up for birds of prey, so I could do more rehabbing. I'd love a big horse barn with stalls for all da ponies. I wouldn't want anymore more actual ponies though, 11 is way more than enough.

As for a house, I would just want the home I live in added onto. I love this house, it's full of wonderful memories, it just needs to be bigger. I'd have a library, a pony room and a new guest room with its own bathroom. Ooo, and a big deck, screened in so we aren't at the cats' mercies.

We got super good A/C! Come live with da foofoo!
I’m packing up my bags. See you as soon as the borders open up. Or or OR we can just transplant the farm in Canada, that way we have universal health care and no president. ;p
