It's beautiful! What stitch, and yarn thickness, did you use?So, I just finished this today. It's supposed to be a Christmas present, but she nabbed it and isn't letting go. Sorry it turned sideways.

It's worsted weight. 4 I used double strand, so its super heavy and warm. Then it's mostly just dc with one skipping back for every set of four. Then the edge is single crochet worked towards the right for the last row to make it a little decorative. It's beautiful! What stitch, and yarn thickness, did you use?
You did a great job! It's worsted weight. 4 I used double strand, so its super heavy and warm. Then it's mostly just dc with one skipping back for every set of four. Then the edge is single crochet worked towards the right for the last row to make it a little decorative.
I wonder if I should get my wrists looked at. Between my art classes/crafting/computer work it doesn't take much to get them aching. Stretching helps but not as much as I'd like. -_-;I love crocheting. Especially now that I've had carpal tunnel surgery on both hands. I've pretty much made E a crocheted afghan for every year. Between the two of us, we probably have over 20 crocheted blankets. Only a little over kill. I do hats, scarves, and wristies (hand warmer), too. So many. E has a collection of animals and vegetables, too, but my mom made those.
Give me a few color choices to work with and I'll make you one! E’s is one magenta and one that goes through black, white, and grey. It’s so pretty! I wish I knew how to crochet/knit, it’s a very handy talent to possess. E looks like she’s in her comfort zone snuggled with that blanket.
For me, my fingers went numb every morning. I can tolerate pain, but the pain from this was like an electric shock going from my wrist up my arm. It wasn't the pain though, the numbness was so bad I broke so many dishes by dropping them.I wonder if I should get my wrists looked at. I've also loom knitted a blanket (and hats and scarves lol). It's by far the easiest on my hands. Tho I wish I could get ahold of some of the finer looms so I didn't have to double up my yarn XP
Thank-you! I still have one made from the same pattern that my mom made when I was 15. I call it my magical blanket because it never fails to help me sleep. That's actually why E choose this pattern. She wanted her own "magical" blanket. It only took about a week to make. I would have been faster if not for everything else life threw at me.Wow it’s such a big blanket! Did it take a long time to make?
I love how chunky and warm it looks
Aw that’s so cute And really cool that you still have yours from when you were a kid. Now you two can match!Thank-you! I still have one made from the same pattern that my mom made when I was 15.
