Etsy shop issue

Has anyone dealt with having to open an etsy claim/case ? Ive legit never gotten a bad order so Ive never done it, but the shop i ordered presents from has sent me the wrong things, really bad quality, didnt protect the items in shipping, etc. Its baaaddd. And this place had a decent rating when i purchased but then suddenly didnt send anything for like 3 weeks, and now theres bad reviews about the wrong orders and the seller not responding to requests for refunds/returns. So im not really sure what to do.. im hoping its not a long drawn out process i gatta rebuy everything again from somewhere else while theres cyber deals going on, i cant afford full price on gold jewelry. *face plants* geeesshhh

Update: The shop owner is now trying to refuse a refund. Im so mAD.

Sounds like you got scammed by a dropshipper. Sometimes they'll sell normal items for awhile for good reviews (or ship to themselves for the good the reviews), then bait and switch with cheap items. If the store owner is refusing the return/refund just go straight to etsy for "item not as described". You should be covered under their general refund policy.

Etsy is absolutely flooded with dropshippers and scam sellers. If the price seems to good to be true it probably is.

Well it's a custom made item, so they had to have made it but its completely the wrong thing and everyone else is getting the wrong things too, just with the name they ordered on said wrong product. Also bad quality on top of that. I couldnt figure out etsy, so i filed a claim on paypal. Idk if thatll work or not. I just want my money backk so i can rebuy presents. So infuriating dhdhdj

On etsy you can click on your photo, click purchases, and then there should be a "help with this order" button next to the item. That's where you can submit a claim with etsy for it being wrong item and add comments about the other issues.

Thanks! I tried that but it said i could file a claim if the seller didnt respond but they responded so theres no option that I can see to file a claim anymore. So heres to hoping paypal helps!
