Fighting with bots that won't even pay what I will

Honestly it sounds like they were using a bot to bid on their own listing to get more out of it and they over estimated how high it would go. Or they were trying to make the item look like it's worth more in the sold listings when they relisted.

This is exactly what I was thinking, too. A decent seller won't get mad at you for trying be a customer. But both sides are constantly having to be on the lookout and try to protect themselves. Ebay feels like a play-to-win game now and I'm still mad at them for charging sales tax on the shipping as well as the end price. But, I keep using it, because I haven't found a better option.
It sure has been lovely to do some buying directly from other sellers here on the forums, though. <3
 
Aw, wow, that pony I was talking about has been relisted AGAIN! I have never seen this before :O
 
I’m so curious about this reposted pony now! I stalk around eBay and Mercari a whole bunch admittedly, so I wonder if I’ve seen it, may do well to avoid it with how odd it all is :x

Ebay isn’t my favorite for selling or buying, but I’d be lying if I said I didn’t get a bunch from there. I very rarely place a bid instead of BIN, so for the ones I have gone after, can’t say I’ve experienced bots, though I’m absolutely sure they exist. I agree that the fees are quite stiff on both sides!

I recommend giving Mercari a go if anyone here hasn’t and would like an alternative to Ebay. I’ve gotten some really solid deals there, people like to offer lower price deals the same way they do on eBay.

It's the mail order white blank flank baby from the UK it's not super pricey, but I think the seller disagrees XD I am not even going to try at this point.

Well, now that she's arrived I can show you all the pony I was fighting for haha. Here she is in all her glory, an in-box Princess Trixiebelle!! Trixiebelle's so hard to come by in the states I seriously never would've expected to find one still in her box, but here we are!

Oh wow, I remember Trixibelle! A friend of mine had her and I thought her colors were striking. She is a yellow pony, so, this surprises no one!

She is absolutely beautiful with the colors they chose! I find g2 has a lot of cool combinations that are like, a bit more saturated or unusual compared to other gens.
 
im really sorry about that :( maybe try mercari? thats where i like getting my ponies now, they tend to be a good amount cheaper than ebay in my experience, but it may be hard to find a specific pony youre looking for, because theres just less overall listings. im happy you got the pony now though!!
