I added a few up close shots because really my photos were not that good.

R2D2 has a bin in his office for Toys for Tots. I am trying to help fill it up. It helps that I love children and toys ha ha. People are slowing brings toys in. Here are the things I got for the bin. I really could not resist the pony toys. I thought these in particular were so cute.
There is a poll because, I am curious who will guess what my favorite toy in this whole lot is. So vote in the poll for fun. If I could have found two of these I would have bought myself one. Tell me what you think. Hasbro has sponsored Toys for Tots so there will be lots of ponies/other Hasbro toys for the children this year. Nothing makes me happier than that.
I wanted to get more and I may still towards the nearing end of the collection.

Whooo hooooooo

That's awesome! All kiddos should get a wonderful toy at Christmas. The back seat of our car is full of bagged of stuffed animals to take to the food bank to pass out as families with kids come through. I guess I better get my butt in gear and drop those off! December is upon us!

Fantastic, children really need plushies to cuddle. What a fabulous gift!

This year I donated to my sister school toy bin and a military family. I needed to cut my EAH collection down and the doll were still in the boxes so what better way then to donate them.

Your lot looks like some kids will have a super fun Christmas.
I guess TRU fluttershy

I guessed PlayDoh Ice Cream Cart because man, who doesn't love the savoury flavour of salt dough confectionaries? Mmm mmm.

When I was a kid I had this little watch like thing from Burger King. It wasn't a watch but a container on a watch band thingy. You could open the lid and put something inside. I use to hide play doh in that thing. I would put some in there from the day care that I stayed at after school. It never crossed my mind I was stealing the play doh. lol I was only like 5 or 6 and I guess since I played with it every day...it was mine. Baaaaaa I had a little friend from Mexico that had super long hair in ringlets. When I wasn't playing with the play doh I was twirling her hair and watching it fall in a perfect little ringlet. I thought she was the prettiest little girl. The boys there were stinky. I only like the boys at my school. LOL Its funny the things you remember. I still remember her name. She and one other girl were my after school buddies and we had such a blast.

Ah ha! The cold case of Who Purloined the Play Doh has finally been solved! LOL! Shamey shamey. :D

I can't talk, as a childhood master criminal I had a Tootsie Roll in the store my mom was going to buy for me. Without thinking I ate it and realized it on the walk home. I wept most piteously, assuming the cops were on the way to toss me in the clink. Mom took me back to pay for it, and they rewarded my honesty by giving me free candy. So in a way I discovered that crime paid! I never did it again though, because I was terrified of the police for some reason.

I remember all sorts of snips and trinkets from my wee years yet I don't know where I set the barbed wire today. I put it down then 10 minutes later was searching for it like a loon. Memory is so odd.

That's wonderful! Those toys will definitely make some kids happy this year. I just put my donation in the Toys for Tots bin here at work today.

Has anyone ever worked with distributing the toys for Toys for Tots? I'm wondering how careful they are at matching the toy to the child? Do the parents of the kids give them a list?

I asked R2D2 this question and he said that the toys are handed to the children also toys are requested by parents and matched with donations. I don't really know enough to say for sure.

I voted for "Yellow Construction Vehicle" because that may be a thing you like.

ha! It would be the thing HANK liked, for sure!

You should tell them about the adventures of poor ol' Jim, AC.

My favorite is:

Ha actually we own that set. I got it for R2D2 last year. Then I found it at the store again the other day. My favorite is actually the Rainbow Dash in roller skates. She is the first G4 pony I wish I had because who can resist the roller skates? I know I can't. That is to die for adorable. I think it would be great fun to roll her across the floor right towards Vinny. LOL My second favorite has to be the Ninja Turtle frog that sticks out his tongue. That just is is funniest thing ever. I am dying to sit on the front row of class and bring that little frog toy and and pull the lever. Walaaaaa he sticks his tongue out at the teacher and I land myself in the principal's office. baaaaaaaaa
Honestly though, everything I bought has a part of me in it. I love all of them really for different reasons. I love sweets so much I thought that doh set was too cute. I also enjoy cars and things. I have tons of hot wheels and tracks. I also thought that the game was useful because, I remember enjoying games with friends. I had to include ponies and I found what I thought were the cutest ones for the prices.

R2d2 still has his original metal Tonka Dump truck. It has been through a lot but not as much as his original childhood metal fire engines.

YAYS! I know I love the Roller Skatin' Rainbow, but went with PlayDoh because PLAYDOH! I can't resist the stuff. I just got the PlayDoh Rainbos Dash toy at a big Goodwill Christmas sale for $4, brand new! Whatta bargain!

I'm like you, I just love toys! I can't imagine people who don't like toys or think it childish to have fun and play. We're adults, but we're not dead! Playing is a fundamental part of a healthy life, I think. We should play more, not less. I always buy toys for kids with the question in mind, "Would I play with? Would I play with it more than just a few times and get bored with it?" If yes to both then I buy it up! :D

I have two of those old dump trucks. All my siblings played with them and then Hank did. I hope in the future little Hank Jrs pay with them as well. They really made those babies to last! We have the dump trucks, a firetruck, a cargo hauler and some kinda industrial tractor dilly (be amazed at my English skills!). They're all still in great shape and they were even left outside for years.

Yes now our dump truck is the home for a doll at the moment because I like to turn my R2's toys girlie. ROFLOL He in turn has put Godzilla and King Kong on my American Girl doll shelf. Wait till he finds a Barbie skirt on his Optimus Prime! We have a ball doing this to each other's stuff. The other day I went into my room to find my R2's Muppet Animal hugging and kissing my innocent Koala Bear Lucy. pffft So my plan is to hang his Elliot the dragon by a small string just right above the cat box! Then I can put a very scantily clad Barbie on his Fire Ladder Truck to rescue poor Big Jim. Then I must wait for his revenge. What will he do to my poor ponies?
I agree with you about play. If more adults had more fun an got the kid in them out again they would be healthier. I am convinced that being all serious and mature is just ridiculous. How boring. Lets run through the tulips in a our dress up clothes!!! I still like to dress up. I have this very full slip I like to put on with very wild flower power tights and a hideous top. I go to moms like that with some sort of springy eyeball like headband. She loves it. My grandmother did that and I guess I am the same way. But oh boy the serious IL's which I will call Oscar can't take it. You would think they would die if they had to crack a smile over anything silly.

Darn I voted the playdoh ice cream set. Is it too late to change my vote?

I wanted to do a gender neutral toy,so we donated a cool pack of brightly colored dinos. Kids love dinosaurs.

Yes they do. I have many here at the house and they are a huge hit. I saw a bag of dinos at Walmart the other day along side a bag of none other than Zombies. LOL
