Hi there! I've lurked on here a lot before for cleaning advice for my ponies, but somehow hadn't thought about making an account!
G3 was the gen around when I was young, but I was very much a LPS kid and didn't get into ponies until MLP:FIM, in middle school. After that, I asked for pony things every chance I got, and I definitely received! I'd also get G3 and older gen stuff from friends or thrift stores. I've always really liked the G4 toy-exclusive ponies in particular because I could draw them and create my own personalities for them as a kid and try and fit them into the show!
Nowadays I'm not collecting as actively, mostly just thrift store G3's or G5 ponies and the occasional pony shirt, but I still love browsing my little wiki for hours and learning about all the many ponies that exist
