so this lil rainbow dash was found at my dad’s job in some closet and long story short he brought it home, but upon checking the battery situation i ended up finding it *seriously* corroded and stuck!! i’ve been trying to figure out ways to get it out and i’m seeing articles saying to use vinegar and baking soda which can help get corroded batteries out of flashlights, but i’m kind of nervous taking any particular actions yet since she has a speaker and i fear one wrong move might damage it!!!
would anybody know anything about this particular toy or this sort of situation with batteries?? thank you!!

*Mod Edit: please remember to fully upload photos*

use fine grit sandpaper and sand away the rust and corrosion. Wear gloves and a mask too, you don't want that on your skin or breathing it in.
I like dracokat’s idea.
My dad is an electrician and I have cleaned up many messy battery contacts and cases. I always used a q-tip with the tiniest amount of plain rubbing alcohol on it. Lots of little scrubs. Be extra careful to wash your hands with detergent if they come into contact with the battery acid.
