Hello. I still have my childhood collection which is not really a collection but rather I’ve just never had the heart to donate my most loved toys since I grew up. The ponies have lived in a suitcase in a few attics for nigh on 30 years now! Anyway, I got them out to show my young son and it set me off trying to remember the names (ALL his toy cars have names. He loves names!) I found a Wiki page which was amazingly helpful, and that pointed me in the direction of you lovely bunch!
I’m pretty keen to rehome some/most of the gang where they will be loved and cherished every day instead of hiding in the dark, so I thought I’d start here to see how best to do that?!
They’re all G1, gently and lovingly played with (until about 1991) and to be completely honest, after brushing them all again this could go the wrong way very easily and I could easily end up buying more!
Anyway. Thanks in advance for the welcome and any pointers to forums/advice you have.
 
Welcome to the MLPTP! Many a members have come here with the intention of selling off their childhood ponies only to fall in love with them again and start buying more LOL They sneak up on you like that ;) but if you do decide to sell them we will certainly find them good homes here :)

Yeah... I’m already having far too much fun prepping them for their photo shoots

My head is just full of pony stuff now! So many questions!! All I ultimately want is a fair deal for myself as the seller, and actually for them to go to good homes where someone will genuinely enjoy them Heavens, after 2020, we could all do well to spread a little joy in whatever way we can! xx

Thanks so much! I may have peaked too soon and added one to eBay when I should’ve posted here first... seems I have a few UK exclusives that some of you lovely people might like!! I’ll post a link to the eBay auction and pop some other bits on here before I do anything else I think!! Really appreciate your replies xx

Welcome to the TP! I know the feeling, I also found my childhood G1 ponies again after they had spent many years in a bag in the garage and then I began searching for their names on the internet and made an excel spreadsheet, cataloguing them. They rekindled my love for them so down the rabbit hole I went. :lolpony:

I already am! And I’m supposed to be here to sell them... I’m nearly ready in fact, it’s just finding time during daylight hours to take decent photos (for selling, but also as memories for me)

Can I still stay even after I’ve sold up? Just to look at the others?! Or do I have to log off once I have no ponies... [sighs]
