I've been a Toy Story fan for the majority of my life, always loved it since seeing it. Haven't seen the fourth movie though (what I've read about the story put me off, and I also despise them throwing out the unique look of Bo Peep's sheep for a design that rips off Shawn from Wallace and Grommit).

Of my big interests it's probably the one I've thrown the least spending money at as an adult. My small collection is made up of childhood toys and yard sale finds. Let's see who all I have:

* The oldest is my first Buzz Lightyear (I may have had some Burger King toys before that, but they have since gone) that I got for Christmas of 1997. In a sorry state right now, his head and jetpack (which I removed to try repairing the mechamism) and left forearm missing :( They might be sitting in a "project toys" bin in the garage, but that might instead be my sibling's Buzz. My own Buzz's parts may have been thrown out by mistake.. Going to see if I can reproduce them. Although come to think of it, I might have done something else with his head.
* Then there's Strummin' Singing Woody, from Christmas of 1999. He's in better shape than my original Buzz, but his vest and bandana were stolen when another kid "borrowed" him after I forgot to bring him inside one day. His holster is lost to the mists of time, as is the strap for his guitar (which I need to clean the battery compartment of). Still have his hat tho
* Silver and purple Megamorpher Buzz (a Buzz that turns into a spaceship. Not to be confused with the Disney Label Buzz transformer). A gift from an old friend, long ago.
* A few stray fast food and cake topper figures I might still have
* Another 12" Buzz that I was given some years later. Overall in better shape, but the victim of an inexpert attempt to give him a working communicator, and I think the wire for his laser sound needs a repair. I might have swapped my original Buzz's head onto him, meaning it's actually this Buzz's head that's missing, but I'm not 100% sure. I might swap the head back and turn this Buzz into a different Ranger.
* R.C. One of the full-size versions, possibly Toy Story collection but not sure (there's a Toy Story merchandise wiki, but TFWiki or My Little Wiki it ain't). The (cosmetic) antenna is broken, and the remote is missing; he was a yardsale find. Thinkway sadly does not have replacement remotes for this particular model of R.C.
* From the same yard sale, one of the squeak-toy LGM aliens. Not one of the Toy Story Collection/Signature Collection versions, this one has a movie-accurate "toy mode" pose and really is a squeezable rubber toy.
* From a different (and possibly earlier) yard sale, a Disney Store 12" Buzz Lightyear. He has a particularly pale complexion, so he's probably the Hawaiian Vacation version. Intact except for missing the wrist communicator cover (anyone have a spare?).. and the clothes, if he's the version I think he is. Overall a lovely upgrade, although I do have a couple quibbles. One is that the karate chop action could use a clutch to disengage it and let his right arm move freely. The other is that the voiceclip selection on his soundchip is terrible - too many "alive" lines (one of which only works for Utility Belt Buzz!), not enough of the actual canon voicebox phrases (they even left out "Buzz Lightyear to the Rescue!").
* A soft Jessie doll with a plastic face and dummy pullstring ring. Found at a different yard sale.
* A 1985-2009-style Mr. Potato Head body, with the blue shoes, and a hat and moustache from later Mr. Potato Heads that might work. But I'm probably better off just buying a fresh Mr. Potato Head from that era with the accessory set the movie one is based on.

I had a complete Mr. Potato Head in the '90s and early 2000s, although not with the accessories the one in the movie has (save for the blue shoes). But he seems to have been donated somewhere along the way (sigh).
There's more I want to get, of course. Movie-size versions of Woody and Jessie with actual pullstring voiceboxes, the later 15" Zurg toy, Slinky Dog, Mrs. Potato Head, movie-size Hamm (most Hamm merch is undersize), movie-size Rex (I think there are more full-size toys of him available now, so he's not quite as bad as Hamm), Bullseye, a good Bo Peep, and more.

Recently, I dug out and repaired the Buzz Lightyear spaceship box I built back in 2013 (using a template created by Andrew Strappers of DeviantArt) and repaired and improved it:

I also got R.C. out of the closet and opened his battery box to confirm to Thinkway which version he is.

Made a few discoveries while getting everyone together to take this. One was that I misremembered; the Hasbro alien is not in the movie accurate pose. Oh well. One was an unpleasant shock - my newer Thinkway Buzz had suffered from the spring in his left hip forcing the plastic in front of it off (currently repairing this). The other was more positive - Woody's guitar didn't need the battery compartment cleaned after all, and still works!

Nice collection

That’s cool I didn’t know they made a real version of RC!

We have the same Woody here too, been here since 1999! The one here still his jacket, gun holster and hat. Surprisingly, I think his guitar still works! It’s so incredibly hard to get on his hand on the guitar though to hold it. I don’t think I’ve ever seen another one before so this was a surprise

Originally, the difficulty would have been getting his left hand off the guitar  It came pegged in there via a stubborn peg that's difficult to pry loose without accidentally breaking it off the guitar.
I actually still have the hat at least, I just couldn't find where I'd put it and I was in a rush to take the photo.

I love that guitar. I think the simulated string breaking that happens occasionally (and the subsequent need to re-tune it) makes it fairly sophisticated for what it is, too.

So it was never supposed to really come off? Oh wow, I’ve always known the guitar to be off him from my memory of ours. It isn’t broken in any way either so it’s always looked like there was the option to take it off

I swear, the string breaking sound seemed to happen so much I can hear it in my head now

Can you show me? I'm curious now!

I would but during full lockdown earlier in the year, I boxed him up in the loft along with a few other Toy Story items...
Sorry

Uh oh, I hope you didn’t put any Jessie dolls in the box! :winkpony:
With him is another Woody, two Buzzes and Bullseye. Oh, and a square Woody pillow. They all actually belong to my siblings. I haven’t actually got any Toy Story stuff myself but the films are great. I was just sorting out the loft so I happened to gather them up too

Took a shot of Disney Store Buzz on my desk after repairing his left shoulder(which was annoying becaus of how his arms are assembled).

Got this guy in on Monday:
new_woody__standing_proud_by_zeldatheswordsman_de6e6xi-fullview.jpg

His voicebox doesn't work, and my attempts to get it working failed, ultimately serving only to consume an excess of my time and focus chasing after a spring and plastic washer that kept escaping, and possibly to scorch the soundchip while trying to reattach wires that broke during my wrestling with the pullstring-rewind mechanism... :sadpony:

But I'm still happy to have him. I've always wanted a movie-size Woody with a real pullstring voicebox, so even if it doesn't make sound I at least have him.
Side note, that's not his own hat he's wearing. It actually belongs to Strummin' Singing Woody.

If people are still okay with me posting this stuff (I'm starting to feel like a spammer <.> )..

I did up a lasso for Woody, something I've always wanted to do. And my Titans Return Trypticon was both close to hand and the right size to be a good demonstration subject.

This is probably really late but I just went in the loft and I remembered this thread and how I said I would show next time I get the chance so I grabbed the Woody. Here he is:
