G2 custom blanks?

I think the eye crystals are important, too. You might consider selling a selection of them with the blanks.
 
I agree with everyone else :D it’s not a g2 pony without the cute little eye crystals
 
I also agree tha the ponies sholuld have little spaces for the eye crystals; maybe if it gets funded well enough, there could be an option for both? Both empty eye hole and no eye hole?

Also I support a kickstarter or gofund me!

(Also I'm gonna update MLPArena to get their opinion!)
 
Great feedback thanks everyone, selling suitable crystals alongside the blanks will hopefully be an option, I’d like to have an online store anyway as I want to make accessories too. I’d also be willing to glue crystals in for anyone who didn’t fancy the fiddly job of doing it if they bought a pony and the crystals from me. This way you could still choose the colour

*o* Ohhhh! Eye crystal packs would be superb, even if they're sold separately. And I love your idea of doing it for anyone who requests it as well, that's very kind of you. The downside with that idea though is the colors, even if you got the photos close to life everyone's monitors could distort them. Most people seem like they'd be pretty chill about little color imperfections, but at the very least it might be worth putting a notice about that on your site just in case.

Also I kinda feel bad for LadyMoondancer hah;;; While I don't completely agree with you either, I think your suggestion was a very valid one and worth consideration if possible. I think it very much could be fun to experiment with the crystals.

i messed up the first time I put in crystals on my Prince Luminary. maybe *instructions* on how to do it with the pony, and three crystals instead of two would be a good idea (they are so tiny!). Use a toothpick or fine tip (#2) paintbrush, put glue on that, wipe some of the drop of glue off on scrap paper, and then use that to spread the glue in there. Or post instructions on your Etsy shop. The first time i thought a drop of glue directly inside would do it, but then I put the gem in and superglue came out everywhere. There is no fixing that :rolleyespony: also, dye the pony before putting in gems, unless you need white gems and are out of them, because boiling water will make them white (at least that is what it did to the Secret Tale I dyed, who still had original gems)!

If you also or only sell the gems separately, how about just several pairs of each color in a bag? Instead of bags of each color I mean. The gems don't cost much....but the shipping!

You probably know most of what I posted here, but I thought instructions would be a good idea. Also Clever Clover (not the prince version) is the only pony with AB (iridescent) gems that I know of. So "white AB" is also a color. I think AB means "Aurora Borealis," not sure.

I'd have thought maybe bags of similar colors? It probably depends on just how many colors Grace might want to offer, but I thought it might be nice to have sets of different shades of some colors, even if it's a wide variety within the color. Like a blue assortment, a green assortment, etc....? Just an idea, not sure if anyone else would find value in that.

Also I'm all down for the instructions, personally! I've never messed with it before, I've only just managed to get a few G2s in the last year or so. Definitely good to know about the boiling thing though...! I'll beware of that for sure.
 
I know, but Sweethearts are so tall, I came up with entire pony growth theory* to justify them :)

And, if you bundle them with G2, what else beside elegant thinness connects these?

Pony is born as newborn (or, if, prematurely, Teeny Tiny), and we all know how G1 babies look, (boys also had slightly more grown look in Peekaboo), but then they start elongating and growing legs, and after come into pudginess as mature ponies.
Sweethearts never come into pudginess and just grow up with that teen-ish look (maybe Flutter genes?), and Bride pose is what happens when Sweetheart's body suddenly decides to complete normal maturation, resulting in a tall pony valkyrie.

oh good, i thought it would be a cool idea, as they are a simple and changeable play set, whereas the G1 repros and HQ customs have to deal with bigger, less versatile landscapes and buildings. They really help create a pony world and you can just keep changing them.

so far two two poses, some with wings and/or horns added, gems, clip on wings, and maybe fences. it's a lot but not too much, and you can keep adding things once the ponies and wings are done (like fences). they can be "in the works" from the get go instead of everything for sale all at once.
 
Yes the rainbows are such a staple for my shelf decoration! I love them!

it will definitely be one thing at a time with a focus on the ponies

There’s a lot of different rainbows and they can all fit onto the different fences / playset parts. Sweetberry had one with a bird, moonshadow has one with a moon etc
