Can you rehair a G2 the same as a G1? I've already read that their heads go on and off the same way, just with harder plastic. I would like to use the common method- with a needle where the tip of the eye has been cut off at a slant, and then running glue along the row of hair plugs on the inside of the head. What size needle should I use for this?

According to "TheDollyverse" on Etsy, a #7 is what we are using for "My Little Pony," but I've only ever rehaired a G1. Well, I did a G3 many, many years ago. Do I use the same needle on a G2, or smaller? #8? 9?

Can you even reroot a G2 the traditional way?

Hopefully these should help ;) It's definitely possible and many have done it before.

I've only ever done one G2, but I used the same size needle that I use for G1s and G3s. She was just as easy to behead and reassemble as a G1.

This is the info I was looking for! Thank you so much! There is no other info about needle size, etc, that I could find, and someone on Youtube even rehaired a G2 that could not have glue put in. It only needed two plugs, but still. The other day I figured she was using the old #7 needle, cuz she didn't say otherwise, so I figured when the hair and needles came in that I would give 'em a go. She really restored it well, however, and I love her videos and accent.

Your Flutterby there is really nice! The gradient and texture of the paint color is like a statue of Pegasus from Ancient Greece! I love the eyes, they have a lot of life. That white triangle reminds me of Super Mario back in the eighties when the animation was really good, and the lashes are adorable. I can't wrap my mind around how people sculpt wings like that: Serious skill, there. Thank you!

Your Flutterby is adorable! It's been ages since I read it, but I remember loving that book. :ponylove: You did a lovely job with her!
