There have been several ornaments that have been re-released.

differences between 2004, 2006, and re-released 2007 ornaments:
2007 Pinkie Pie: body seems a bit lighter and the symbol larger (I can't tell, the symbol is damaged).
2007 Sunny Daze: symbol is darker

2007 Minty: scarf is darker, and the symbol is more defined.
2007 Twinkle Twirl: red is darker (on hat and scarf) and symbol is darker.

2007 Star Swirl: symbol is darker.

2007 Rainbow Dash: scarf is lighter and symbol is darker.

Present (2007): Slight color differences in the bow and present, the blue in the mane and tail is lighter, hoof heart is more greyish than blue
Candy Cane (2007): Stripes in cane are lighter, hoof heart is smaller

Pinkie Pie: 2004, 2006, 2007

Pinkie Pie (2007) is slightly darker, and has more glitter:

Twinkle Twirl (2007) body is slightly darker, mane and tail are lighter:

The mini ornaments found at Big Lots have glitter, while the ones in the 5-pack do not. The differences in the larger Rainbow Dash ornament are minimal (more glitter, and ornament sizes on the tree.)

Fluttershy - less glitter, and the symbol is moved. Of course, at the store, we saw 3 Fluttershy’s with different symbol placements. I was not about to purchase all of them!

2005 is pink, while 2007 and 2008 are purple
2007 and 2008 - star color pattern is different, 2007 the strip (with hearts) is dark purple and 2008 appears almost black, 2008 pony is lighter, and has less glitter

green - the 2005 and 2008 are darker than 2007, and the 2008 has less glitter
the colors of the stars are different shades, as well as the strip below the ballon (pink, purple, lt purple)

as much as I know there is value to keep them in the box oh man, I am imagining what an impossibly epic christmas tree that would be with all those ornaments hung

I have that small tree and ornaments that gets decorated on the dining table we never use so while not as epic - this minty lovin' home of course loves christmas (and socks)

Also, because I needed to retrieve the step ladder from the back part of the basement in order to take the above photo, I discovered a puddle of water on the floor! Now to determine if it's coming from the water heater (replaced in 2020), the water softener (replaced in 2021), the AC unit (replaced in 2022), or the dehumidifier (installed in 2020 after the foundation needed repair)! Ah, the joys of home ownership! R.I.P. $$$
