G5 G5 Chatter

G4 is very dear to me! But since Heart's Warming day was the celebration of the unity of the pony tribes, which hasn't been the case for G5 up until recently, I think it's very reasonable that their Heart's Warming day would've evolved and transformed into their own celebrations! I share the sentiment that I'm looking forward to seeing how each pony tribe celebrates the holiday :ponylove: I especially really enjoy the pegasus' outfits

All I was saying is it’s disappointing that for nine seasons G4 pandered to its own version of a holiday and all of a sudden (in the same universe), it’s all gone. That continuity isn’t a thing with G5 is very disappointing. They just like to do throw back to get the older nostalgic viewership, that’s disappointing.

Batuk and I just watched the Christmas special, and it was so good! She made an astute observation: it (and, to some extent, G5 as a whole) has the sentimental, feel-good value of the G3 specials mixed with the humor and broader appeal of G4. I think that's part of why I love G5 so much: it mixes the best of the two generations I grew up with.
 
Christmas special hasbro? But it's still autumn. :/

Looks like Zipp has a gimmick where you reveal icons on her wings with a red lens that she comes with (similar to Secret Tale from g2) and Opaline might have magnetic wings to put what I assume are cutie marks that she stole using dragon breath power.
Not sure if they're truly magnetic but she has no holes in her wings so magnets seem most likely

Holy cow they made Opal! Dang her face is smug, but she's pretty. I'm a sucker for a fun gimmick, might make this my Zipp so I can customize my old one.

Finally, a new brushable pony. I knew they wouldn’t do Misty when she releases!

I kind of hope they make her as a plain ol’ gimmickless pony soon too
