I think they really shot themselves in the foot by not pushing a more anthro design. In the sea of the colorful dolls options rn actual horse looking dolls would really catch the eye of kids and collectors.

Let's give credit where it's due, those are Mattel's creation. :rofl:

Anthro dolls are hard to pull off. I don't think I can name one fashion doll line that really nails it. At best they're like pinkie cooper or catwalk kitty, a little goofy looking but loveable nonetheless. At worst you get Gorgeous Creatures trying to profit off the muppet craze at the time. :tongue:

I actually have soft spot for doll collecting, I just can't justify it more often than I can, and with that being said I'm beyond excited for these :ponylove:I think these are such a massive step up, from more personalized clothes to different sculpts! My only qualm is the lack of Hitch, other than that I adore them.

Forgot how exactly but I've heard of both these before, the dog ones looked the best of the group.

Wow! I actually do like their designs the colors are nicely balanced and the accessories are well thought out!
 
I really like these new EQG dolls and will be purchasing if they release here. Unlike most, I really like Izzy, she seems to be the only one with a bigger body sculpt and her own expression.

I do wish they gave Zipp more “Zipp” accessories, like maybe some of her “detective” type gear would’ve been nice to see. I’m also slightly sad that they’ve reused the design on the jeans from one of the Sunset Shimmer dolls. Why would Zipp have flames on her pants? She probably wouldn’t, at least based on her character so far.

I do love the jacket they gave Pipp, I love that it resembles her floofy wings. But I agree with Sassy, I wish they used a shorter full figured body type for her too. She’s just adorable and love her cute little self and wish the doll reflected that as well.

I am extremely hopeful we will get Misty in the doll line. She would be such a beautiful doll (even if I want her pony self more I would be thrilled with a doll of her too).

I’m excited to see the dolls in person. And better, higher quality photos of them as well.

ETA:
New character in the comics coming for issue 14! I may love her almost as much as I love Misty. I am wondering if we are going to get some back story for Misty. <3

Izzy looks awkward here, but I personally think Hitch and Pipp look great. I'd love to get my hands on the Sunny from this set.

I've never been one for fashion dolls, so I'm gonna pass on these. I will say that they look better than the G4 EQ dolls imo. I 100% agree with Lilykin, though; I would be all over some anthro pony dolls. G5 ponies already have that Barbie-like face. This would be the perfect gen to do that.

YES, PATEENA!!! :ponylove: Pinkie Cooper is a more modern doggirl line, but it didn't last long at all. Unfortunately, it seems anthro dolls don't tend to do very well in general. The closest to a "successful anthro doll" I can think of is maybe some of the Monster High dolls, but I wouldn't consider them proper anthros.
 
First G5 charity shop sighting. I am assuming original owner got her for Christmas and wasn’t too keen? Poor Pipp
