Kind of wish I didn’t notice the eyebrows but if they weren’t there, the faces would be super strange. I look see past this though

I like the colors on the yellow/purple pegasus. The white/green/purple pegasus looks like it might have a jewel symbol, like the princess ponies, and birth stones.
 
Excited about the Amazon Exclusive set. It’s the first G5 ponies that aren’t the Mane 5 that were announced!

All of the toys except for Izzy is new. Sunny doesn’t have rainbow colors in her hair like the Fashion Style we’ve seen before has. Pipp is a regular Fashion Style with plastic wings instead of the singing one, Zipp is a Fashion Style and Hitch is a Fashion Style with…a brushable tail. Only the tail. Still plastic hair.

I gotta say, the Fashion Styles look crazy good (except for Hitch’s mane and the material they used for the hair as we’ve discussed earlier).

I already posted the video last week when it was dropped. ;) Just waiting on official stock images for them to be released. But I have a feeling that the Hitch and Zipp were prototypes used to promote toys.

It was a week old? o_O Man I’m late, it just showed up on my Instagram feed today!

I realllly hope they aren’t just prototypes and that they’ll have them and look like that, because they looked so good, I want them. :ponylove:

Because if you watched other videos of the actors opening boxes of the brushables they’re the only two that didn’t have the “store” packaging with the toys. Izzy, Sunny and Pipp (was the singing Pipp) had their boxes. Then they also had another weird video of mixed merch of the brushables and posable toys.

You’re right, that’s odd. Maybe there will be a second wave with those specific toys later this year?
 
I think that would likely be the best set for my customs, as it'll give me the ones I want, especially considering some of them are crystal adventure ponies just shoved in the box. I'll definitely keep some of them as is.

The yellow/purple pony and the white/green/purple ponies are my favorites.

I will be upset if Green Guard is a paintbrush head, because I think it's an exceptionally ugly hair style. I'm just going to do a cross gen custom of Green Guard.

In fact I'm swapping blue boy's head and painting that up.

I'll just see if anyone wants the resulting frankenponies for bait afterwards.

Ignoring the appeal of combing and feeling the hair, for me, it’s just harder to tell that they’re all recolors if they have brushable hair! So you can style them to look different, and even look like their animated selves.
That new Pegasi set gave them all different, distinct faces (part of why I was so impressed by it). However, since Hasbro is cheap they all just have Zipp or Pipp’s hair. If they were also brushable, this wouldn’t be a problem. Styling the hair on their distinct heads could make them all look very different from each ofher, which would be extra impressive.
It always bothered me when the moulded hair didn’t look much like the actual character. Sometimes it’s fine, like Starlight Glimmer being a Sunset Shimmer recolor in the blindbags or something. Their hair is similar enough that it works. But sometimes we get something like Lyra Heartstrings being a Twilight Sparkle recolor, which just doesn’t look right. G4’s blindbags had a lot of this, heck, in the beginning they were even making Fluttershy a Rainbow Dash recolor. Yes, Fluttershy. It doesn’t look good. I’d have less of a problem with the moulded hair if I knew they’d make more than just recolors of the Mare-roon 5, but I know they won’t, at least not for a while.

This was my first G4 figure and my first G4 blind bag. I've always called her "Fluttershy-in-the-Rainbow Dash-Mould". Long name. Even though she's supposed to be a Fluttershy, she really doesn't feel it

Not the most flattering introduction to G4 figures huh? :cry:
 
I don't mind recolors, as long as there are lots of moulds to put them on. I understand that there won't be that many moulds in the beginning of a gen, but this constant samey body pose is not impressing me. G4 all over again. :hmph:

I felt the pack and went for that one because I expected Rainbow Dash and I was so sure it would've been her. At the same time, my little sister got a glow in the dark Rarity who is now missing. Fancy that

I think that the jointed wings are pretty interesting and the fact there’s two different designs. They seem pretty detailed too

I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s a pack similar to the Amazon exclusive Pegasi one but with Unicorns, and one for Earth Ponies. Since the whole theme is different pony species coming together.

Actually, I’m surprised at the lack of unicorns. Only one unicorn in the main cast, and the cast reveal with other characters only had one other unicorn. But that hasn’t stopped them from making unicorn-themed packs…
 
Dazzle Feather, Ruddy Sparks and Zoomwing are dumb names.
