This was a gift/freebie when I bought from Etsy...someone's first custom who didn't enjoy their attempt or maybe thought it wasn't good enough??? No idea...I've changed very little aside from trimming back his outrageous false eyelashes (which is a cool effect on a black pony base) and adding paint to smooth him out. The cutie marks were originally sparkly stickers so I pulled those off and painted. And his eyes needed to be slit pupils according to the books, so... here we are.
I could redo his hair with better nylon (I have white witch...perfect!!!!) But I kind of like his crazy style lol

Look at him!!!!! :star::shock::star: I've never attempted anything close to a custom but he looks amazing! That person did a great job, I am completely enchanted by all the little details that make him Geralt:redheart:
 
Alright everyone...suggestions please!!!!

I want Triss to be chestnut hair with blue eyes like the books, but I'll tend to the redder side of chestnut so it's not too jarring.
I want to know what color base Pony she should be...I have a faded Posey that be used for her, but since she's a sorceress, do we insist she be a unicorn? LMK

Yen is black haired and purple eyed, but the books specifically mention how pale she is many many times. So I think I need a Glory/Moondancer/Majesty bait for that one.

I'd like them to have different poses if possible but would it be kindof interesting to have them be the SAME pose, since they're after the same guy??? Lol

Last but not least, how would you suggest doing a Jasker companion? I have zero ideas about this one...please help!!! TIA

Feels like Applejack could maybe be a good base for Triss? She's a sorceress but she has that earthly, more charming/sweet vibe. Pair the pale orange with chestnut hair and some teal colors? Maybe her symbol could be an artful flame in yellows and teals? Perhaps hovering over an open book?

For Yennefer I'd go with Glory or Majesty over Moondancer (her pose always has looked a little clunky to me and Yenn is all devastating elegance). Maybe even better if you could get a base in Fizzy's pose or Powder's pose and paint her white? Pony Bride pose could work too! Black, Silver, Purple for her, for sure. She has her star she always wears so that's an easy idea for a symbol.

Jaskier could be fun starting with Firefly's pose. Her open mouth and attitude is perfect for a singer. Colors - maybe deep jewel tones? Burgundy, emerald, plum, dark teal? Gotta have that feathered bonnet, and symbol could be a lyre or a feather pen?

Oops that was a lot of suggestions :D

I’m loving shy pose for Triss and it is one of my least favorite poses! Ditto jellybean for a Yennefer base, too, though if you could sculpt a horn… the bride pose could be great for her.
 
Ok...so I have deflocked a Sundance, courtesy of my last trade with @Tak, that I want to dye aqua/teal and then sculpt a horn and do teal and chestnut hair.

I have a Bride Pony with a factory flawed symbol that I could turn into a Yennefer...already own black, silver and purple hair.

And I'm thinking Jaskier should have some yellow, for dandelions, so what about a Skydancer base Pony and a modified sunhat from the Pretty Parlour? Hair colouring up for debate still....wdyt?

You could always take some colored pencils or a paint program and sketch up a pony to see how you like the colors together!

I still think Jaskier would be fun in a deeper body color, but what if you added some stripes of color into his hair, sort of like the slashes on Tudor breeches and sleeves? In the video games he's Dandelion because it translates better, but since Jaskier actually means Buttercup (ranunculus flowers), that pop of color could be any warm bright hue!

I never finished the first game even, let alone started on the books etc, so sadly I can't offer much in the way if suggestions.

I think what you already listed here is a great foundation though. It sounds like you already know what you want to do and how you want to do it :winkpony:
 
Triss base underway. This was a SS Sundance in poor shape from @Tak that I stripped as much as possible and then gave a RIt bath to. I think the spotting could work with her scars, right? Maybe play that up with some sculpting in future...
Waiting on hair to arrive and then some paint....flames for sure :tongue:

It's interesting to see what the dye does to the bits of flocking residue left over! Creates kind of a new texture

I'm not sure if it's the flocking residue or if the acetone eats away at the surface a bit...I did a Shady the same way and it doesn't seem to have the same effect with black dye. I used way less acetone on that one, tho.
Either way, it's horn making time!!

For Yen, a Truly comes to mind. White body for the paleness referred to in the story, with the rearing up pose to indicate she's doing some magic with her front hooves? Just a thought. I love this idea! I hope to see more pics on this!

That's a great idea too! I don't have a Truly bait pony atm...would have to wait on one of those. Magic Star was always a personal favorite for just this reason...she was always creating a "spell" in my mind:ROLO:
 
Ok so, I have a damaged Pretty Parlour bonnet for Jaskier. Work on rehairing has begun for both Bride/Yen and Sundance/Triss. And NOW...I have a pretty decent baby Cotton Candy with foot initials (in dark blue....argh!!)
How about a Ciri to go with? Her hair will be "blonde" but ashy...maybe silver? I could paint ovèr the pen but if I dye her, she will.have to go darker. Any ideas, especially @Jellybean ???
