hey all,

the name is Neil Burns, ala Neilcrom. I am a 45-year-old warehouse worker who
likes sci-fi, anime, photography, writing, theater and, as of recently, this little show.
given the crap on TV, it's nice to have a somewhat wholesome show to watch (though
some episodes question that). anyhoo, I look forward to contribute. take care and,

Not sure how much help I van be with the whole avatar thing ............ but I'll have a go :)

What I do is go to my name (on the right near the top of the page next to inbox & alerts)
Click on that which brings up your profile page from there click on the avatar image box and you go from there.
Don't know if that will help but it's what I found wandering around my profile stuff:)
 
Welcome! You and I have a good deal of similar interests, especially sci fi. I'm huge into both film and stories. Right now I'm on a Russian kick, having just read Arkady and Boris Strugatsky's Roadside Picnic. Planning on hitting some Stanislaw Lem next.

How did you happen upon our little forum?
 
Hey its nice to meet you. Glad you found us. A lot of us have multiple interests in addition to ponies. I think you will enjoy the forum. As far as the avatar goes, I would just grab a free avatar from the internet that you like. You can make them out of photos, but I have not had any luck getting mine the right size. Sometimes people will make you one in the art section of the forum also.
