I am a 39 yr old pony lover/collector that has finally decided to sell her childhood treasures. (really-it took years to come to grips with "letting go")

But, I would rather they go to someone who adores them as much as I did, than to have them sit in a tub in storage.

I have started to do some price research, but have a few questions, mostly about the lingo used when selling.
What does MIB stand for?
What is "pony cancer"?
I believe G1 stands for generation one? What ponies/yrs does this include? I believe that all my ponies are g1, but I want to make sure before listing them.
Although I find good price info for the ponies themselves, what value do their accessories add? For instance, all of my baby ponies have the accessories (blankets, toys, diapers, etc.)

I'm sure I will have more questions as I get into this. Thanks for the help.

Hello!! I haven't been hanging around this site lately as I prefer the MLP arena, but I can answer some of your questions...

MIP is Mint in package...
Pony cancer is brown spots that appear on ponies. As of now I haven't been able to remove them from my ponies..
Yes, G1 is the first generation. They last through the 80's to early 90's
As for pricing..different accessories are worth different prices. For example an original stack toy is worth less then a pals stack toy do to the fact the pals are much harder to find...

Hope this helps!

Hi and welcome to the forum :) we will be happy to help you with any question you have about ponies ;)

MIB is Mint in a box or MIP as ijen82 said or it could be MOC that is mint on a card. Card means a pony that is still intact in her backround card
Pony cancer is something that can't be removed (yet, maybe one will found solution) from ponys body. It is a plastic and as the plastic ages these damages can be found. Some ponies are more common to it than others. Only way to hide these spot is to paint them but that will decrease the ponies value or make the pony look worse if the painter isn't good or the color won't match with ponys body color.
G1 is the first pony generation. The are little bit chubby and bigger than rest of the generations. isee you got your sale thread and they all seem to be generation 1 ;)
good source of information are : http://mylittlewiki.org/wiki/Main_Page and for g1 ponies http://www.kimsites.net/dreamvalley/ for example
