A while ago I rescued a baby pony from my loft. Because she was a pony, I had to add her to my collection even though I was never fond of her as a kid. I cleaned her up as much as I could apart from her body
Here is she:

This is Baby Sweet Steps. She was released with an electronic walker and has magnets in her feet to look as if she was walking in it. Her front legs don’t move because she has some sort of sensors in them(?) to activate the walker when she is placed in it so it can move and make her speak and move her head. I’m not sure how to clean her because all of this is inside her.
Her body needs a clean because she has all these kinds marks that have gone into the fabric and I’m kind of worried it’ll spread onto my other ponies, whatever it is

Her walker is gone so I wouldn’t be too worried if the only method of cleaning her causes it to break. I hadn’t gone ahead and used soap and water in case it makes the insides rust out onto her surface.

If anyone has any idea on the best way to clean this that would be very helpful:satisfied:

EDIT:
Thank you for the help! She has been finished now

I'm pretty sure those black pinpoint dots are mold/mildew. Definitely was a good idea to keep her away from the other ponies.

Is there a way to open her up (i.e. Velcro on the belly) and see if there is any way to carefully remove the electronics?
I found this guide for electronic plush toys, so perhaps that would help?
I also looked up the manual for Sweet Steps. It didn't have any cleaning instructions, but here it is anyways.

I'll continue to search for solutions, so I'll let you know if I find any more information. Good luck on cleaning her!

My first thought was to find a way to remove the head from the body and toss the body in the washer (after removing electronics of course), but I've never owned one of these so I'm not sure if that's possible? lol

I looked around on the Arena and found a few threads (thread 1; thread 2; thread 3) asking for advice about the same thing. No one shared any after pics, but most of the advice was to do surface-level-cleaning only, since she has electronics in her. They suggest hand-washing with something gentle like baby wipes.

I second finding a way to remove the electronics, especially if you don't care for them, because then you don't have to worry about them while cleaning.

This is a lot of help, thank you very much! :satisfied:
I’ll give the first link a read. I did come across the manual when doing research on a pony project to remind myself how she works. It seems the sounds and movement come from the walker so I don’t know how much inside her is just electronic. She doesn’t have any Velcro on her anywhere

After I cleaned her head and hair I did keep her away from my ponies for a while but then I had to move her from where she was from being in the way of things and she ended up with my ponies... only today I noticed the brown marks that keep appearing on them more may be caused by her and I clean them off but I’m not too sure just yet

Thank you for the thread links, it’s helpful especially knowing the first one was about the same pony!

I think some of the electronics inside are actually connected to her head so it may be tricky if I did decide to do that
