How did your Halloween go?

I had such a great Halloween (maybe even the best) and I was wondering how did the Holiday go for everyone else?

My day was so jammed packed! I'm making 15 pounds of fudge for a church sale that starts at 7AM tomorrow. My fiance and I carved a Pumpkin to look like my favorite Pokemon, Gengar. He finally got to use his dremel so he was thrilled! We had a nice lunch on the porch (It was 75 degrees in FL today) and then we got ready to go over to my Grandma's church.

Every year they do this 'trunk or treat'. All the church members get together and decorate the church and their trunks for the kiddos. They also had a bounce house, a face painter, and some performers. I also smelled horses so I'm sure there was a pony somewhere nearby. Anyways everyone sits by their trunk and when the kids walk around we show them our decorations and give them candy. It's like a safer version of trick or treating. It was a ton of fun!

Like I said on another board: the best part of the night was when this little Iron Man come up to my trunk. He was so nervous he didn't even say trick or treat. I started gushing about how radical his costume was. I told him he was my favorite superhero and I thought it was so neat that he pretty much led the avengers. I'll tell you that little boy's face lit right up! He was just beaming. He started talking to me all about his costume and told me to have a good Halloween. His mom thanked me and said I was the first person to talk to him. I later watched him start yelling trick or treat and he totally came out of his shell.

Then when the sun started to go down my fiance and I drove home to give candy to our trick or treaters. (We only live 3 minutes from the church) We sat outside in our driveway and talked with our neighbor across the street. He's such a great guy! He gave us tons of extra candy to hand out when we ran out. He even gave us an extra pumpkin to carve. We sat on the ground carving pumpkins, playing Pokemon, we complimented all the kids and teens for their awesome costume, and handed out candy.

Sorry for going on and on! Halloween is my favorite Holiday and this one was so great! I couldn't have asked for a better Holiday :D

Oh and if anyone is curious: Gengar Pumpkin!!

My ears are blending into the wall due to the lightning X_X and I tried to go for contacts but...it was a no go sadly :c maybe next year ^^"

Sadly not so well. My aunt had a reaction to meds and was in the hospital. She is ok and at home but was too sick to have the big Halloween party they normally have. They live in ones of those community where its a giant circle. So trick or treating is pretty safe and all and my little niece was going to be Doc Mcstuffins and me well I was going to be a Nun ( I love nun so much iono why just do) and carry around my large Horror reborn Nancy Lou. But with my aunt sick and it was unusually cold and windy tonight my niece did not get out so I did not dress up. Not a single trick or treater either. I pretty much watch a few favorite horror flick I love Freddy Kruger (not the newer one) had a marathon of Halloween wars on Youtube and well sitting here tiring to plan out Sunday.

I am doing a Dia de los Muertos party hopefully my friends will come. I love the day of the dead and remembering my loved ones.

OMGS! Gengar!

*huggles Ology* I'm sorry to hear about your aunt. here's hoping she makes a speedy recovery

Twilight Pink Navarro-aww what a great shot of you two!

It was too cold and really windy, which is unusual since the weather is always perfect trick for treating here in California, there was one brave lady who gave candy out though, so she didn't go home completely empty handed.

I made some fun Halloween food.

My mom thought it would be fun to put a jack-o-lantern face on a pot pie.

I'm so silly I thought I saw a kid in a really nice Snoopy costume, but then I realized it was my reflection in the window. I was wearing a shirt with a picture of Snoopy on it.

Nobody came to the apartment this year again.

I really wanna do something next year; Halloween is on a Saturday! I already started planning out 3 different costumes. I even made drawings and everything. I want something simple, but customized like a clown. I can't decide if I want to be a scary or a sweet clown. Let's see which one I actually make. I have the some of the pieces to make them all. They are just not completed yet.

I went trick or treating (never too old for FREE CANDAY!!!!!) and there was this guy as Freddy Kruger with REAL KNIVES on his hands, so I high fived him lol. Then there was this haunted house so we were in line to enter. But someone dropped a Capri Sun Roarin' Waters juice baggie with juice in it, AND SOMEONE STEPPED ON IT. I GOT SPRAYED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Then my friend found some really cute fakies then snuck them in my Treat Sack. They were REMCOS! She doesnt know how much I love Remcos! (She came back today with ANOTHER set of fakies, so now I love her lol)
Then when I came in a house, there was this guy as a spider, snuck behind me and scared every living crap out of me. When I came back home, I watched TNBC until I fell asleep (at 3 am, I was sugar high). And of course, dressed up as Grim Rapper, but only had the gown, so Regular Grimmy now.

@Ology, I hope she gets better soon!

Talking about that Freddy Kruger, I think it hurted my hand. Its in pain right now

@Twilight Pink Navarro That's awesome you two got to go trick or treating! You both look radical in your pony costumes! :D

@Ology *hugs* I'm sorry to hear about your aunt! I hope she recovers quickly. That's such a bummer! I'm sorry your Halloween didn't pan out. I'm surprised about the trick or treaters. I thought nothing would stop kiddos from getting free candy. A Dia de los Muertos party? That sounds so cool! I hope you have a blast :)

@Leave a Whisper It seems like there was a lot of bad trick or treating weather around the US. I wonder if was just bad luck?

@pikapal Aww, the jack-o-lantern pie is so cute! That's really cool you're already thinking about next Halloween. Halloween is my favorite Holiday but I can't even bring myself to think about Thanksgiving :lolpony:

@Creamsicle That's awesome you had a blast on your first trick or treat!

@Skygleamshine *high fives* Heck yeah! I never understand the people who won't give out candy to teens and adults. As long as you have a costume you should be able to get candy. That really stinks about the caprisun! Your friend sounds really sweet. Remcos are super cute! :D

@Moondream Yeah. Remcos got washed and well loved. And she is indeed really sweet. Want me to give you about a thousand examples? XD
After the Capri Sun incident I didnt really cared because I was sweating under my costume. Refreshing.
That Freddy sure was awesome instead of scary. Something about his accent made him more.... Awesome XD
They will not give you candy unless you wear a costume or bribe them...

@Moondream I really wanna see what I can cobble together. I have to admit this isn't the first year I've planned a Halloween costume in November. I love Halloween! It's my 2nd favorite holiday after Christmas.

Took both my kids to a Halloween dance party at my daughter's school Thursday night, they were both in their costumes. My daughter won a cake, we came home and ate it at a pumpkin-lit dinner table.

Next day, planned on going to another Halloween party at our local college, but I got a call from my son's preschool that he had a fever shoot up to 102.0 and by the time I got there to pick him up, he had vomited. So I rushed him to the grocery store, got popsicles, Saltine crackers and some Pedialyte, got him home and medicated and down to rest.

Called relative's to get my 7 year old daughter out trick-or-treating so she could still have a normal Halloween~ I stayed home and got my baby boy's fever down.

I ran out of things to do and it became a boring night :sadpony:

but I called his teacher today, and RSVP'd for another Halloween party that's happening tomorrow even though it's November 2nd, my boy will have another chance to wear his baby dragon suit for the probably the last time before I retire it, and he can party and boogie down like it's still Halloween.

So I felt much better when I got that arranged.

I just need to keep Tylenol in his system and he should be fine.

Here's some fun pics from our Halloween

Your kids are just too cute! Glad the little guy got well enough to at least have a little fun.

I hope he is doing good, and OMG I am craving cake and this isnt helping XD
Then its decided. We all go over there and help them eat their leftover goodies.

Sweet! Remcos are the best!

I scared little children Mwahaha!
My aunt handed out candy and my boyfriend dressed as the grim reaper and I sat next to him on my knees like his little pony pet and we stood perfectly still until the kids came walking by then waved at them. It freaked them out. Everyone thought we were statues lol!

Nothing tickles the ear so as the sweet refrain of the terrified screams of the innocent.
