How do I add a photo to my signature?

This may be a newb question, but when I try to edit my signature and add a pic, the "Insert image" button only lets me link to a URL. Is there a way to directly upload the image to my signature? If not, do I need to post the photo to a site like photobucket?

Thanks @Tak. I checked the Tutorial and FAQ Suggestion Box subforum under the MLPTP Pony Tutorial & FAQ forum, but it's empty. Is there another tutorial forum I'm missing?

You need the Signature & Avatar help guide. ;)

Unfortunately you do have to use a photo URL to have in your signature. I believe photo bucket is no longer a free service. I just googled a free image hosting service, I honestly don’t remember what I ended up using.

Thanks everyone, that clears things up. @Gingerbread, I have a Google account and tried to paste the shared code in the "Insert Image" button, but I keep getting the error message "Image cannot be loaded from the passed link." Is that how you did it? I don't think the image itself is the problem since it's 16.2KB and 300x180

Double click on pic
3 dots to side to SHARE
Under get link hit "change to anyone with the link
Copy that link and hit done

Paste
