How do I make a BBE pony into an NBBE pony?

Before: Poor Baby Frosting​

I think a vast majority of MLP Collectors feel similarly about Beddy Bye-Eyed ponies: /Ewww!/ Even if you *do* adore their creepy little eyes, you may come across more than a few with rusty eyes. Some will be salvageable, others may not be. Well don't throw those babies out yet! Give them new life with new eyes.

Step 1: Remove the head and use an unsharpened pencil (or another long implement, but /*be careful! */ I've jabbed myself with screwdrivers/pliers trying to do this before!) to push on the backs of the eye sockets until they POP out the front of the face. Clean out the sockets before moving on.

See the little sockets in there? Now /PUSH/ until they *POP* out!​

Step 2:* **For this next part, I'll be using Sculpey III, but I imagine that apoxie, femo, etc. would work just as well. I roll the sulpey into a "log" and feed it into the socket. As it gets full, I smoosh it into place and scrape the excess from the "eyelids" with my fingernail. When it's as full as I like, I use the top of my fingernail (or a piece of tape wrapped around my finger) to press it flat and smooth. Do the same with the other eye, and you're ready for Step 3!*

Step 3: Boil some water in your microwave (or stove, or campfire, or wherever, ). To make it quick, I use a ramekin about 1/2 full of water for about 30 seconds. When it's bubbling, take it out and, holding the head by the mane, submerge the face into the water and wait for a minute or two. To be on the safe side, I also reheat and dump the remaining water into the head to boil it from that side. Dry her off and move onto step 4.

**NOTE: It has been brought to my attention that boiling sculpey may make it crumbly. This hasn't affected my NBBE's as of yet, but to be on the safe side I will be henceforth baking the heads for the recommended amount of time when using sculpey. However, it's more likely that I'll be using apoxiesculpt from now on, as it cures and hardens on its own in a few hours time.

Step 4: *Now your pony is ready to paint. Though everyone has different styles, I try to replicate Hasbro's eyes as closely as possible. Once she is dry, you can pop her head back on and style her as usual.*

There! By now, you should have a similarly-gorgeous looking NBBE! Doesn't Baby Frosting look great now?
