How Do I Make a New Tail for my Pony?

Making new tails, or securing your original MLP ones is easy! Here's what to do:

Step 1: Buy some plastic zip/cable ties like the one below:

Step 2: If you are working with an existing tail and the old washer and clamp are still attached, remove them using 2 pairs of pliers:

If you're working with new hair, you can skip this step.

Step 3: Wrap a tie around the middle of your tail, and cinch it tight. Now pull the ends of the tail until they are even.

Step 4: Loop another zip tie around the leftover portion of the first tie, and slide it down over the base of the tail. Cinch it tight.

Step 5: Clip the excess from the ties and you've got a new tail! Because it's plastic, you don't have to worry about it rusting or degrading over time, and no more rattling ponies either!

Step 6: Take a 12" length of thin wire or ribbon and fold it in half. Insert the folded end through the tail hole so that it eventually comes out of the neck hole, with the unfolded ends still protruding from the tail hole.

Pull your tail halfway through the loop of wire just outside of the neck hole.

Using needle-nose pliers, pull the loose ends of wire outside the tail hole (this takes elbow grease!) until the tail pops through the hole. Pull the loose half of the tail through the hole until the zip ties are just inside the tail hole, and the tail looks complete.
