How is one celebrating thanksgiving/turkey day?

Iam going to eat with my family, lots of turkey and mashed potatoes,and the next day after sleep maybe shopping :3
 
Going to watch the Macy's thanksgiving day parade, the dog show, eat lots of food and probably sleep cause I'm going out for my bday the day after. So I need to get rest

Hey, a fellow November B-day person! Mine isn't as close as yours but it's close enough, the 30th. I'm indifferent, I never feel like going out to a nice restaurant or having a B-day cake cause my house is still full of food and sweets from Thanksgiving. Takes some of the fun out of it, I usually just stay home and put up all my Christmas stuff.

I'm cooking Thanksgiving dinner and have a few family members dropping by. Today I left work early, came home and made 7 pies and a Jello salad dessert. Then cooked all my sides so all I have to do tomorrow is cook the turkey and watch the parade!
 
Eating turkey and stuffings with family pretty much~

Might work on commissions, we'll see how things go.

Then Black Friday.... FFFffffff..... staying INSIDE and going NOWHERE NEAR stores lol. Will see about staying home and sketching out a pattern for a 5 ft. plushie commission instead. x.x
 
Stuff my mouth with yummy stuff, sleep, go poo, repeat XD

"Dark Friday/Darth Vader Friday" *le gasp* SHOPPING 4 PONIES!!!!
 
Cooking and cooking and cooking. Like now, only I got to have a break and chat with Ology! That is always fun. But tonight's cooking is almost done so I'll take a nap and get up and COOK MOAR.

Friday I'm gonna go buy 20 bags dog food because it's on special. MY LIFE IS A PAGEANT OF EXCITEMENT.

I am working today -- veterinary technicians have to work 365 (research animals, not pets) @ the NIH

tonight I will be doing school work that I have been putting off. I'm working on my Master's. I wont be eating a Thanksgiving Turkey dinner today, but that's ok... at least I am not in Afghanistan this year!
 
I watched the Parade and the Dog Show, and a little bit of all the football games. Ate some turkey and stuffing. Took a nap. Oh yeah I watched some Twilight Zone.
 
We didn't ate turkey because we went to buy a turkey bag and, THERE WAS NONE!

So we ate chicken tacos instead :3

And we went to Walmart and HOLY COW!

5+ hours for checkout DX!
People with 2+ TVs, 3 or 4 iPad minis and more! This was madness! This was. Sparta!!!!

I hear yah! No real day off here at the sanctuary either. We still have to water, feed twice a day, doctor and clean stables, rain or shine.

Poop waits for no man.

No turkeys? That sucks. Our stores overbrought, so there were apparently tonnes left over. Which is good, maybe they'll donate them to the food bank!

You braved the Wal Mart crowds? You are indeed a warrior. Get any good youtube videos of old ladies beating each other up?

Har har, I left before a fight over a TV and an iPad started. There was police men EVERYWHERE! Glad I left or else....

They would take MY iPad too 0~o

Maybe they sent the turkey bags that were supposed to be here, to your Walmarts, which would make a lot of sense, too....

My Wal Mart hoarded alla turkeys! Those evil, greedy piggies.

Not enough people here to even BUY as many turkeys as they had! We're a very small community out here.

Yes, best to ditch when fighting starts. Perhaps isn't brave, but it IS super smartness. Brave people die young. :D
 
So if a Walmart gets 5000 turkeys, and there is only one family, then screw it XD


Also, the people fighting, strangely enough, was a woman and two men. That is the moment you go NOPE!

What would you like to know? ;) Yeah I can share some as long as no one gets upset, not everyone agrees with using animals in medical research and I wouldn't want to upset anyone but I am open to it :D
