I love your anthro ponies, and I, being an artist, often scribble my own, usually children. I just wanted to make sure you didn't mind. AND I also wanted to point out that it seems that your anthros are spitting images of what Ipotanes are supposed to look like. I am posting a link to a little article on Wikipedia that I found on them. (I was actually searching for breed ideas for PonyIsland when I found this)

Now, i don't intend to sell these or anything, but if I were to ever upload any pics to my photobucket album to share, I just want to make sure that i would not step on any toes (Or hooves,lol!) by doing so. What do you guys think?
 
Its OK - a lot of people draw anthros - including me!

As Angelberries said- many people draw anthros.

Including myself!

They've been around for quite some time, so you can't really credit one person for them.
 
Poniesyeah has very unique style and awesome ability.
As everyone else said, many people do anthros, and adding to that pool isnt really gonna threaten her, I would think, because people know and love that style.
Even if they come to know and love your style that'll just mean they'll want something from each of you.

Or at least, that's the way I think of it.

I have commissioned art from several people on the boards, but there is some art work I would definitely want from poniesyeah in particular, cause she's just ... the artist for it.

But there are tons of artists, a lot of very good artists, and I guess its just a matter of what speaks to you.

Post your art and be proud of it. People will like to look at it, and all will be good.

Every artist has thier own style and ideals, so i say, please post your art. I don't think Poniesyeah will have any problem with you posting your art. there are many pony artists out there, and we all love to see the different takes other artists have on them.
 
I was taking a break from the internet when I started on drawing anthros - but I also was really worried that someone else would think I was stepping on their toes if I showed them off. :? But I thought about it, and realised that lots of people draw ordinary ponies, and nobody minds - so its really the same for anthros!!

I want to see your work... I lurve anthros!
 
Drawing any sort of anthro isnt putting you in any danger that I can think of. "Anthro" Isn't a copy writen subject.
When I was ready to start posting my art on the pony bords I wanted to give them something they normaly didnt see. I dont normaly draw anthros but its what I saw the least of. And when I did see them they usually had pony heads.
So I simple drew something that was pony like at its most simplest.
So your draw anthros too. So what, BUT you mainly draw them as childern. So again you'd be bringing something new to the table. So draw away.

When Bee came over and told me about your post I checked out the link and couldnt even say the name of the creature you were talking about.
And that further shows that you have all the room in the world. anthros have been drawn through the centuries. they change witht he times like all art.

The Sileni were Ipotanes who were followers of Dionysus. These Ipotanes were drunks, and looked mainly like other Ipotanes except that they were usually bald and fat with thick lips and squat noses, and had the legs of a human.
uh... what? these cats sound kinda fuggly. not to mention its pretty veuge description. it sounds like the top half might be something else.
