Today I went to value village and the toy wall was bare I decided to look around a bit and then head back to the toys on shelves. As I finished looking over the last bit of the toy shelf a value village employee came around the corner with a cart of toys. I happened to glance inside and saw pony feet! I pulled out the bag and saw 5 ponies inside. there was a flat foot Minty a flat foot Bluebelle a baby surprise, bowtie and CF blossom. all for 1.99 because the girl pricing them was new and didn't know they usually make me pay 1.99 each :) They all cleaned up to minty too :) they just need a styling

It made my day!!!

over 95% of my collection has been found myself ay VV flea markets and garage sales. I love finding ponies :)it isn't usually a big deal but this is the cheapest find ever! and I haven't found too manyt ponies lately

No fair you are so lucky. ever since my wife and i went to look for ponies at garage sales, thrift stores, etc. the first time we have found absolutely nothing. I am so mad. I WANT MORE PONIES (for cheap)
 
Wow, rub some of that luck off on me will ya? LOL Thats awesome! Most of the thrift store around where i live dont sell toys anymore :cry:

Congrats on that amazing find!!! Where are you from? Are you in Canada? I never seem to find ponies at my VV. But when I worked there I found the every week while working in the back.

Baby AJ Yup I live in saskatchewan I used to find like 5 ponies a day at VV but now my finds are less frequent, since the new ones came out and little girls are into them again. I was thinking of getting a job at VV too since my work is closing and I know for a fact they still get tonnes of ponies in.

My boyfriend was reading over my shoulder and he practically shouted, "She stole from Value Village?!" :p

But what do boyfriends know? Great finds, I wish I was as lucky!

...He still thinks you should have paid the full price though. "Isn't VV a charitable organization..?"

Thats awesome that you could find that many ponies! And just imagine you working there, ho wmany more you would get. But when I worked there we could not buy the merchandise that was put out on that day, we always had to wait to the following to make any purchases. But that was back in 2001 so I don't know if those rules still apply.

he he he nope they were a steal but they were bagged up and priced by that employee :)

baby AJ nope that rule does not apply anymore which is why I;m thinking of working there :) they will all be mine!! mua ha ha ha

Congrats. XD I hardly ever find anything at flea markets. Probably because of the lack of flea markets around here, haha. ^^;
 
I just did a google search and seems there are a lot of flea markets in my area, i'm going to have to check them out this weekend :)
 
thts cool. last time i went to value village i found a SS hippidy hop, TE mascurade and about 10 sparkelworks adn sunnydazes :D
 
See i've got plenty of flea markets around me but still no ponies, what luck i have :cry:
 
Waah, so lucky! I never find anything here. *weeps* Eveyone else has all the luck lol!
 
Wow! That's awesome! :D I found my Minty cheap, too, but not that cheap - I got her for .75, though, at a flea market. :D
 
I'm not exactly sure what kind of store a Value Village equates to for my area, but the only thrifty type store I EVER find ponies in is Savers. For a while I was finding more G1s then G3s, but then it seems to be reverse. Unfortunately once, my big mouth sister was in the store with me, and we were looking through the bagged up toys, which were poniless, when she saw an employee. She walked up to the chick and asked if she knew of any ponies in the store. I wasn't exactly thrilled she did that, not that I care that people know about my pony collecting, but the fact that I feel that the less people know about ponies in these parts, the more ponies for me :twisted: .

The girl kinda looked at her funny, and my sister must have gotten the fact the employee thought she was weird for asking, cuz then she was like..."well, it's for my sister, and she collects, but they are worth money if you sell them". I could have happily chucked something at her head. I pulled her aside immediatly and told her that isn't the reason why I collect, and that even if it was, I sure wouldn't want it broadcasted around an employee that has instant access to potential ponies.

Yeah I know she (my sister) was trying to be helpful, but I don't know why that it has to be for the money that some people think it's acceptable to collect something like mlp. Bleah.
 
I believe Savers is the same store as Value Village. They're just called different things in different areas.
 
Lucky scores! When I do find ponies, they are G3's and seldomly G2's, (I'll take any pony find, of course!) but I'm dying to have a G1 score ^^ *rubs you for luck*

aww my mom did the same thing at value village near here! she just yelled at the employees "we thought she was crazy but then we found out they're worth money!" last week when I found the bag full I found out an employee took home 12 of them for themselves. oh well I have found 2 SHS ponies a glory and a minty SS hearthrob this week so I'm still happy
