this one is an ex alicorn fakie, i had to remove the wings and i hope to use the wings in a different project

and this one was my fist time trying to sculpt a pony, the first 2 pictures are my second try and used glass eyes for this one but because i used the wrong measurements i unfortunately had to take the eyes off (and busted one of them eyes:cry:) i think i can save it and make it look like an accurate g1 so not much to say about that i just wanted to share my crafting projects of me trying to replicate g1 style, it is pretty hard since there is no consistency from mold to mold so nailing it would be kinda hard.

I'm sure once you get going on the details it's going to look amazing! Kind of reminds me of a flutter pony style.

[spongebob flying dutchman voice] AND STOP STARIN AT ME WITH THEM BIG OL' EYES

customs like this are always very "trust the process", aren't they? I can't wait to see what they transform into!

Huh, interesting. Is there any pony in particular you're modeling it after?
my main inspiration was some pictures of Posey found online since i own no pone with that pose also Gusty and Bowtie since i do own horses with these poses i was thinking of maybe asking in the discussion section for some picture of Glory, Mimic, Truly and of course Posey as reference since they have that head raise looking forward pose like the sculpture i am doing but i never got around it

I don't have Mimic, Truly, or Posey, but I do have an itty bitty Glory. Not sure how helpful it will be, but if you want, I can send pics of her.

not much to say i think i manage to save my first attempt pretty well i added a horn as a point of visual interest since the pose itself is pretty basic and boring

What kind of clay are you using? I think you may need to set your eyes in a little deeper or they will stick out quite a bit with the rest sculpted around them. I love to sculpt and have made a lot of figurines over the years but only a few ponies, and those were 20 years ago. It really helps to study how to draw real horses, like with an anatomy book, because then you get a good sense for how all those stylized pony parts ought to go. You're off to a great start here! And I also love the idea of being able to make ponies we want, ourselves. It's so liberating, lol!
