Weird request. I know this probably will go nowhere at all but I have to ask.
I love Lily Lightly's song "Shine On", but I know full well it's awful. It's such a shame, I see a lot of potential in the song and its message and I think those things about it are really beautiful. The metaphor, used so flippantly here, can be a really powerful one. I have wanted for some time now to create a cover that brings out the best in this song, that makes it as powerful as I think it could be. But I'm not skilled.
I only have a somewhat vague idea, I think, of what I want the song to sound like. Something much more orchestral and genuine rather than goofy and whatever you call the original style, extended where the lyrics and the tune in the beginning much better emphasize what Lily Light's feeling before moving on to the more upbeat part. I want the sound itself to aid heavily in telling the story, rather than solely relying on the lyrics.
I don't know. Is it something anyone would be interested in, or able to help with, or anything? Ultimately if I can make a cover I plan on redoing the entire animation myself, as well. Not a short project on my part, that is a LOT of animating. I suppose maybe someone could help with that part too haha. I've been considering a project for this for probably around a year or more now, it's just too big to do on my own.
