The last few pictures are of customs made for the kids that were at the table behind me all weekend. They each asked for one of their ponies to be painted on Sunday and told me want they wanted on them. The fakie was designed by a 5 year old who kept adding things as I went. It was so funny. Here's how they turned out

I'm worried that their mom/aunt's pony collection may be in danger when they get home.

I had a wonderful time at the fair! It was great to see some friends I haven’t seen in awhile (a long while in some cases) and to meet people for the first time. Summer (sweettune) & Mary (girlbufalo1) did a fabulous job of planning & organizing the event this year. Thanks for your hard work, ladies!!!

Kar Red Roses was my traveling buddy. Here she is making paper flowers on our way there Friday. It was a long but pretty drive through the mountains of West Virginia & into Kentucky. My first time in this part of the country, and I have to say everyone I encountered on the trip was so nice… is that what they call “southern hospitality� Is Kentucky even considered the south? Anyway, back to pony pics…

I won the handicrafts category of the custom contest. This was the first custom contest I ever entered, so I was very surprised & flattered to win. I think DialgaBritesMom has a better pic of my reaction, lol.

We bought some seaponies to play with back at the hotel. Sea Winkle kept sinking, earning her the nickname “Deep Sea Winkleâ€

We got to see Churchill Downs. My boyfriend is working there for the week, setting up for a big music festival next weekend. Even though he’d just spent the day there, he humored us & we got to take a quick trip by it again…

Fair Haul!!

Apparently in Germany, Baby Billie was known as Baby Betty! I think the name suits her & she will forever be Baby Betty to me now.

Did Hasbro clarify what the new Breast Cancer awareness pony that was found is? Or why there were two different SDCC pony hair colors?

Great pictures everyone! It's funny, I was able to go, but still missed a lot, so I'm thankful for the pictures for two reasons; one, to relive the memories, hehe, and two to see things I didn't catch!

ETA: Sorry, Hasbro didn't say anything about the Breast Cancer awareness pony or the two hair colors of the comicon pony- they did mention that they did not have any more art ponies or charity ponies lined up at the moment... but maybe they forgot about the breast cancer pony?

Oh man, you took so many terrific fair pics! It was so overwhelming at the time--so much to look at and check out, it's hard to remember everything and all the great booths/displays, so I enjoyed being able to take my time to look at them all again.

And where in the world would we be without digital cameras? They pay for themselves over and over again in the film and developing they save. In the "old days" you'd have had to take out a mortgage to finance all the pics you took! LOL!

I actually like the new ponies. ANYTHING is better than those awful G3.5s. The painted only eyes are a bit bothersome as it makes them look more fakie-like, but all in all, I think they are adorable. Ever those weird elfy-kitten ears!
