How does it work?
The MLPTP Spring Swap is like a Secret Santa: each participant is given another MLPTP member to send a swap box full of goodies to, based on the recipient's wish list. In turn, the sender will receive a swap box based on their own wish list from someone else! This will be a "spring" swap NOT an Easter swap this year. We do not feel we can ensure adequate shopping and shipping time to have the swap completed by Easter. Please keep this in mind when posting wishlist and shopping. More details will be in wishlist thread.
Requirements to join:- 3 months of Active Membership at MLPTP. (Meaning you've posted on the forums within the last 6 months prior to this post.)
- Minimum 16 years old.
- Minimum of 200 posts.
- Minimum 5 TP feedback or 5 references from other members OR TP feedback for 2 successful swaps in the past. Refs must be from trades or people you've sold to!
- You must not have any Negative Feedback on your profile.
If you don't meet the requirements to join, don't fear!
There will be more fun to come over the next few weeks with little/no requirements so everyone can have some fun!
MLPTP Swap Etiquette to Follow:- You must include at least one pony from your partners wishlist in the swap box you send.
- Extras should be based on suggestions from your recipient's wish list--strive to make sure their gifts are tailored to them.
- All items must be wrapped. Think about it... how FUN is it to unwrap gifts?
- Remember to include a card and let your partner know who you are.
- Delivery confirmation (domestic) or receipt of sending (international) is required! This way if something is lost, we're not mad at you, but it will be the post office's fault. Purchasing insurance for your package is strongly recommended!
- Be sure to package your swap box for a safe secure delivery! This means using a sturdy box, packing tape, and filling all empty space in the box with packing material (packing peanuts / bubble wrap / etc) so that no part of the box collapses in transit. Make sure your labels are clear and legible!
- When shopping for ponies, keep in mind that ponies should be in great condition! The MLPTP Swap rule of thumb is: Send a package that you would be thrilled to receive yourself. Pony conditions must adhere to recipients acceptable/unacceptable flaws.
- We suggest participants don't overextend their budget just on the pony, make sure you also have budget left to include several extras, which should be gifts based off their wishlist so your partner knows their gift was tailored for them.
- Also, keep in mind if you do go over budget, understand you may not have a partner that goes over budget for you.
What are the spending limits?- There are 2 spending categories for this swap:
- Level #1 is $30-$40 (including pony/ponies and extras)
- Level #2 is $60-$70 (including pony/ponies and extras).
- These amounts do not include shipping costs of any kind.
IMPORTANT STEPS:- Send your tracking number and/or proof of postage to the swap host by 4/25 (international) or 5/2 (domestic).
- Once you've received your box, you must post a thank you brag in the Show n Tell thread. Your sender is anxiously waiting to know how much you love your box, and everyone else would love to see what you received! Failure to complete this step will result in a neutral feedback for the swap.
- The mods here at the MLPTP are very busy and will quickly be moving along to the next swap, game, contest, or other activity. Please open your boxes and complete step #2 NO later than 5/15. Failure to do so means that the mods may not be able to step in and help with any concerns you may have with your swap box after that time has passed.
- If you have any concerns with ANYTHING you MUST contact the swap host ASAP. We will always work together to come to a fair and decisive conclusion.

Given the circumstances of the last couple years, we have decided to start the sign ups for earlier than usual. We want to give members time to shop and deliveries time to get to their destinations.
Therefore, I want to stress the importance of the deadlines listed below and importance of communication.
Everyone who signs up and sends a package should be able to also receive a package in a timely manner. If you happen to be shipping abroad you will have 3 weeks: 1 week to order ponies, 2 weeks for them to arrive and for you to ship out. Within the country you will have 4 weeks total. If you are not confident you can have your package shipped by the deadline, please think twice. There will be other fun festivities to participate in. We understand things arise and some things can't be controlled, that's okay but we also want everyone who participates to enjoy the swap and receive their box in a timely manner.
If for any reason you run into issues you must communicate with the swap host so we can work it out. Failure to ship by the required deadline or communicate issues in a timely manner may result in a negative feedback. We want to make sure the swap is fair and fun for all who participate.

- Swap partner assignments will be given on: 4/2-4/3
