Im usually a g1 collector. Though I do collect other generations g3-g4. I have links on siggy for my bigger want lists.

Flaws: Im fine with small haircuts, things I could fix on a pony.

I checked all of these on bluerose9978's price guide, though I do realize some might be out of date. Hope it's not the case! I collect all gens as you can see, wanted to focus more on G1s for a while, though you don't have to take that to heart.
I like near mint, as everyone does, but I don't consider myself extremely picky as a collector. I'm not the kind to fix up ponies other than simple cleaning and conditioning/styling hair, though.
Okay flaws:
Pen marks (as long as they're not on the pony's face. On ears is alright), plastic blemishes (ditto), minor chew marks (ditto), blush rubs, ink under hooves, pink hair faded to white, light or well-done trims, slightly frizzy or dry hair, rehairs, restyles or recurls, repinks, loose heads and/or replaced washers, and eye rubs IF just on the black (eyeliner or pupil), since I can paint over them. Also, one or two missing hairplugs (IF they're not noticeable, like at the bottom of the mane) are alright.
Not okay flaws:
Cancer, any kind of mold, pimples, bumps in plastic, regrind, head/body mismatch, tail rust, heavy trims/buzzcuts, cut forelocks, bad frizz and misplaced eyes
Holiday likes:
- I love almost anything christmasy, it's my absolute favorite holiday!
- I like anything that evokes a traditional Christmas in design, especially - the Victorian imagery of the holiday, for one, really appeals to my imagination. I'm usually not a fan of overly stylized/cutesy designs as far as Christmas is concerned.
- Christmas trees, holly, wreaths, all sorts of decorations, carols, snowy landscapes, ice skating, red, green, gold, white...
- I like Santa Claus and reindeer, but not elves.
- Also, I'm non-religious but I love angels. I prefer the preteen/teenager looking ones to the straight-up adults or babies/toddlers.
Candy / Snack likes:
- I don't have any food allergies that I know of, like most kinds of candy and love trying out new things!
- Chocolate
- Peanuts
- Granola bars
- Toffee, caramel
- Orange (dark chocolate + orange = pretty much how I picture the flavor of Christmas.)
- Cinnamon (also very christmasy)

- Reese's Peanut Butter Cups! My aunt brought a few from the US like 12 years ago and I absolutely loved them but alas, they're not sold in Portugal.

- My favorite colors are pink, black, blue and purple, but I've grown partial to earthy tones as well - browns, khakis, greens, beiges…
- Foxes, cats, wolves, jackals, coyotes, sheep (My first and second names together mean "graceful ewe".)
- Pokémon - A few of my favorites: Lucario, Mewtwo, Gallade, Jolteon, Scizor, Zapdos, Jirachi, Reshiram and Togetic. I also collect memorabilia related to the first movie, a.k.a. Mewtwo Strikes Back.
- Sonic the Hedgehog - Knuckles the Echidna has always been one of my favorite fictional characters, period, since I was 10.
- Disney - The trio and assorted characters, Uncle Scrooge... The Great Mouse Detective and The Lion King are my favorite Disney movies.

At this stage in the game, I prefer things that I can use over random things that will just set on a shelf.
We are expecting our first child in May, so baby things are OK too. We do not know the sex yet.

I'm very easy to buy for... I've grown to LOVE to rehair ponies, so since the last swap, I don't mind haircuts at all. (As long as no tinsel is involved... I have yet to try my hand at adding the tinsel to the hair lol) The only unacceptable flaws would be missing body parts and marker/pen marks (well, cancer and regrind and the common hated ones as well).... I'm slowly getting versed in restoration, and have a ways to go, and also, we are in a not-so-sunny season here in South Florida, so my sunfading is going exceptionally slow.
Out of this holiday season, I celebrate Christmas. My favorite holiday!
Favorite G1 pony is Paradise, favorite G4 ponies are Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy

Filled chocolates... like strawberry-filled marshmallow chocolate candies... they can be found at CVS or Walgreens... Russell-Stover makes them, I think?

I'm a G1 collector mostly but don't mind a G4 here and there. I'm in both swaps.
Pony cancer: ok with it on htf but not on commons
Ingrained dirt: not on face, ok on edge of hooves
Symbol rubs: minor ok
Symbol scratches: minor ok

I'm in the $40 swap.
I tried to list only ponies that are within the price range, but I took this from my full wishlist, so overpriced ponies might've leaked here. Just ignore them
As for conditions of ponies: Hair seems to be the thing that matters to me the most. I don't mind very small haircuts, but I am a big fan of soft, silky hair. I don't mind small marks or small damage to the eyes and/or symbols either. Also, condition is related to the pony's value or how HTF a pony is. I wouldn't mind a more HTF/rarer pony in not so excellent condition, but if it is a common pony, I'd love it to be mint. Same thing applies to pricing a pony, I wouldn't mind a pony with several issues if it is more HTF and its condition makes it fit in the price range.
G3s don't have to be MIB since I'll debox them anyway, but they do have to be as close to mint as possible. I don't need the accessories unless I list so.

If any of my items aren't withing range or something, please excuse me - I'm really out of the loop.
G4s are fine loose. I'll probably be adding more soon, hopefully coming up w/ some G1s. -I have no allergies
-I like milk chocolate (no white or dark, please), and most candies, although I'm trying to loose some weight before the wedding, so I'll take other extras over much sweets, please. ^-^
-I love handmade stuff! Custom-painted things, customs, drawings, crafts... I love handmade stuff.
-I'm getting married in January, and our colors are red, white, and blue (more like a turquoise, though, than blue, w/ a bit less green). Snowflakes and glitter!
-I love candles, lotions, sprays, and other smelly-good stuff. I don't like real flowery-smelling fragrances, though.

NOTE FOR SWAPS: Loose G4 ponies are fine as long as they are in NM shape. If there are several releases of one pony, unless it specifically says a certain version, it does not matter which version it is. NO MOLD/CANCER but small marker or pen marks or OK for G1 ponies. No bad haircuts but trims are also OK.

I do NOT like things like makeup, body wash or any thing related that stores sell at X mas time in those packages. Unless its MLP bodywash or something. Also I do not care for santa themed items or snowmen or the nutcracker.
I DO like - swedish fish, gummy candies, vintage themed items, erasers, stickers, stationary. Dark chocolate is also good.
I have no allergies. I also like snowflakes, silver/gold, blue/white and red/green color combos. Not really into the whole religion thing either although I am not offended by religious themed items - no matter what religion that may be. I kinda always wanted one of theose jewish spinning top things...
Ohh, I like candles too - ones that actually SMELL like fresh linen (although most just smell odd), cinnamon, gingerbread, cucumber mellon is nice too. Pine, balsm are nice too. Not a fan of vanilla though.
Angry bird themed items are cool too. And I do play farmville and castleville

oooh another rehair custom idea I have - I need a princess misty with a really bad haircut but otherwise OK = really = these are good gift ideas as I love pony projects - and rehairs go quick
oh and a taffy - her flocking can totally be messed up as I have no problem doing a deflock = I actually prefer some that way - taffy would be beautiful all white and pink

OK about ponies:
FLAWS - unacceptable/acceptable
for the "old" ponies = no pin dot mold, major symbol rubs, chew marks, no haircuts to mane or tail, please hopefully, no smoke or other funky smells. Small rubs on NDS or small marks that can be hidden by hair or can’t really see when displayed (writing on the feet) or marks that can be sun-faded I’m fine with. I can paint in eye rubs if everything else is fine… like most folks, I prefer ponies to be in excellent condition, but hey, these are like 30 year old, probably played with toys, so some wear and tear is understandable and I don’t consider myself a picky G1 collector
BIG PLUS if you are able to take a "bait" pony and fix her up = I am fine with that... I myself have done little repairs from swaps and ebay lots like replacing cut tails from donors and stuff. So if you luck out and get a $2buck pony and make her look awesome for display = yay My ponyroom collection is totally about creating a rainbow in an otherwise grey office space so please feel free to save some money and use your talents to rework any of my colors ponies as I am not looking to have this simply be about an investment (nice side effect in 50 years but not banking on it...) as I am just now totally bitten by the whole arty side of the my little pony world
for the "new" ponies" = the G3’s and now G4's on the other hand, I am picky about and prefer pristine ponies
except if you have the amazing talent for customs than the only thing I would say is please pack anything delicate really carefully as I have had custom pony parts not travel well, and while crafty, I'm limited in my repairs capability
OTHER STUFF
YAY for all things green and minty I totally decorate each year with a Colorscapesart set of custom candy cane ponies and this year I can add an Argie gingerbread to be at home in our kit-house = yay So I am always up to adding in themed ponies for holiday decorating fun
Candy is always fun to share with now 5 other sweet tooth-s in the family = love all things minty and chocolate, M&M, sweet tarts, smarties, starbursts, it's all good = IT'S CANDY! so for the season = flavored candy canes are a big hit and of course mint chocolate anything = oh and hot chocolate packets can never drink enough hot chocolate this time of the year
love all things coffee (I know I know, not good when doing customs ... most of my painting is done way late in the day for that reason but AM java is just devine) Oh, and I have a grinder, so sending along a local whole bean (love surprise blends) is fine
Love pony drawings and sketches = trying to do more art with my girls and always love the thought and time that goes into a hand-made card or any other item
That’s why hand-made/crafted anything is awesome (love all things tie-dyed)
Favorite horse type is an appaloosa
Favorite fantasy critters are of course the unicorn, pegasus and hippocampus (I'm a pisces)
so as in my siggy by Jewel = 3 kids – all J’s = Jessica (8) Julianna (6) and Jason (4) so any inclusions are always part of the fun of getting pony mail as they definitely are on the watch with me come time for a mail delivery

have 3 tuxedo cats who fortunately have NOT acquired a taste for ponies (love that post... MMM ponehs)
have Ben - our "loveable" ball python
have Sonic and Spike our loveable bearded dragons = so shout out thanks to whippetluv for the inspiration to go to craigslist and find the college student giving away a grown dragon/skip the babies
love all things angels and snowmen and hollyberries, isn't there a song about warm woolen mittens ;-) that list of favorite things = definitely snowflakes and glittery ornaments are loves of mine
oh and one can never have enough hand lotion in the wintertime, or chapstick or scented candles
