We might be going down to Frankenmuth as soon as we’re allowed to drive across the border. If you want, I can pick one or more up for you. ;)

You had me at ornament!

LOL I'll be looking for this in my Bronners catalog when it arrives. I can't imagine what it must be like to walk in their store!

I’m sad to say that I’m not sure we will be going before Christmas this year. But if we go in the spring I will keep an out out for this cutie, because I also need it now. Lol

@Gingerbread the store is magical and you’d love it so much. It’s HUGE and slightly overwhelming but magical at the same time. Here’s some photos I took when we last went. Some of my favourite ornaments and of the on theme grounds. (Sorry for the sideways photos they won’t upload right  )

Thanks for sharing, @Skybreeze! I especially liked the little donkey ornaments. I ordered a long strand of soft white mini lights from them several years ago. Each bulb has a delicate, lacy-like plastic white bird covering it.

They are currently back in stock!!

Wow @Skybreeze it does look pretty amazing!! I must get up there one day. I am going to Pigeon Forge, TN for a few days next month as a early birthday celebration. I'm staying at the Inn at Christmas Place, it's a all-year Christmas themed inn across from a big Christmas store, not as big as Bronners but I'm looking forward to it :santa: I'm gonna go to Dollywood and Paula Dean's place too. I've never been so I'm making my list of places to check out.

Donkeys are my favourites breed of equines. I wanted to buy one but by the time we were half way through it ended up being too much for my Mom and we had to leave sadly. But we plan on going back and the Donkeys will be mine along with some pretty humming birds ones too. And that sweet Ruldolph night light, the fire flickers like a real fire.

That sounds amazing! I wish I could drive across the border. There’s so much I’d like to do but can’t because of restrictions still in place.

I love the Christmas Place! Do they still have the train? :O

Dollywood is so magical around Christmas too. I loved when our choir would get to sing up there. I'm not religious anymore, but there is something really magical about singing Christmas hymns in a mountain chapel while it gently snows outside. :ponylove:

@Lilykin that sounds like the Christmas cards I love so much. Absolute perfection. This thread gave me an idea. Has MLPTP ever done a "Christmas Where You Are" post? Maybe we can't go where we'd ideally like to go, but if people share photos of their special Christmas traditions or festivities, we could travel vicariously through them. :) (Anybody happen to live near Colmer, France and those incredible Christmas markets?)

I would love to visit a proper Christmas market in Germany <3 Your idea is giving me ideas @Rainribbon people have often just shared pictures but maybe I can tweak it into something more....puts on thinking Santa cap :santa:
Ironically I have also been to Christmas markets in Germany XD

I would say the biggest difference between markets there and the states is the items are more likely to actually be handmade. It was pretty common to see craftspeople making the items the were selling. I have a couple pairs of socks from a sweet little old lady that knitted the whole time she was talking to us. :lolpony:

*EDIT* I should also say this was around 2003-2005, things could obviously change but I've often noticed in local markets the "handmade" items are actually from China so /shrug
