G4 Most valuable g4 blind bag figure

Ok so I absolutely adore collecting the g4 blind bag mini figures and I'm always curious to know more about the history of these little guys. Basically, I want to know so much that I become an actual professional g4 blind bag figure collector.

Anyway, one of the things I currently want to know is which blind bag character (with their card) is going for the most? So far I've found Sunset Shimmer from wave 10 going for 25usd by herself with her card. If anyone's seen a character with their card going for more I'd love to know.

I'd also really like to know why Sunset Shimmer is going for 25 when most others are going for much less? Does anyone know what makes her so special? (For example I was looking into a special edition Twilight Sparkle from wave 1 since thats the only one I'm missing from that set, and they have her listed as "ultra rare" but only going for 10usd. So why is Sunset from wave 10 going for more???)

In the case of Sunset Shimmer, wave 11 was the only release of her character in mini form and she’s a popular character. There were several releases of glittery Twilight Sparkle similar to the wave 1 special one over various subsequent waves.

I’m not positive about values currently as I haven’t collected them in years but wave 2 had a limited release (some European countries only irrc) and some characters contained were only ever released in that wave, so they’ll be harder to find.

Thats very good to know! I dont have any from the second wave and that makes sense as to why. I'll have to keep an eye out for any being sold for a good price.

Oh there's definitely people still selling them. I've got a number myself that I need to list since I've got so many duplicates. Just be careful not to get tricked by the fake blind bag ponies or even tricked by a listing that says its from one wave but its really from another. I see that a lot.

Ohh wow, thank you for the heads up! I'll definitely take a note of the dups and various waves. I was buying them when wave 1 and 2 were released. But that's as far as I got, I'm a bit behind the 8-ball now

True. The ones I saw actually being sold were closer to 18 dollars but those ones also didn't have their cards included like the ones listed for 25. So for all I know, someone might be willing to pay out that amount just to be sure to get her card as well.

Oh man! I got my Sunset Shimmer blind bag for £5.00 including postage Sounds like someone’s shooting for the moon!
If I were to take a guess? She’s a popular character with a surprising lack of toy releases. It’s her only blind bag figure. She’s got the magazine figure, like 3-4 brushables? A fashion size, a small handful of plushies but that’s genuinely about if it you aren’t into equestria girls specific items! Sunset is one of my fave G4 characters and I’ve poured over her wiki and own quite a few of her items! Sometimes? People list her items very high but realise the demand isn’t as high as they thought! I got my Magazine figure in a bundle with 5 others for £10.00 and my Build a Bear was about £12 after shipping and Vinted fees! ;D
I’d love to know the most expensive blind bag as well because I collect loads and went on a multiple year search for a very specific Minuette blind bag that drove me nearly insane
I have her now, I have every release. This is what happens when your fave pony is kinda random!
