Movie suggestions?

Did you ever see Jim Henson’s Turkey Hollow then? It’s a bit goofy but still fun
No I haven't! I will see if I can find it. I like goofy fun!

Wait,

Who hasn't seen the Labyrinth?

DO IT

I was going to suggest it, but I figured its already been seen and loved, but if not, do it!
I’m surprised you have seen it. ;p

I also highly recommend WolfWalkers, Song of the Sea and The Secret of Kells. These are all stunning and beautifully animated and done so with small crews at a studio in Ireland and are part of a trilogy of Irish folklore. The animation style and design is all based off of Celtic and medieval artwork. I love these movies so much, I went out and purchased physical copies so I can watch them when and wherever.

Oh I have heard of Wolf Walkers, I thought it sounded cool cause it’s 2d animation :D (I’ve always preferred 2d).
I haven’t seen Epic :lolpony: Sounds like another one to add to my list!
I haven’t heard of that one, pirates usually aren’t my thing but I’ll definitely look it up
Pirates of Dark Water is almost like an animated fantasy that just so happens to take place on water. It takes place on another world entirely, with a plotline focused on the battle between good and evil. I'm not super into pirates myself, with this being one of the few exceptions.

Oh, and has anyone mentioned Never Ending Story? One of the original isekai movies! XD

And speaking of original isekai movies, the 1985 film Return to Oz is also amazing. Yuki Kaori was definitely referencing this movie in Beauty and the Beast of Paradise Lost.

Haha I haven’t! I seem to have made a mistake by skipping it all these years

Song of the sea was pretty and very unique so I’m definitely gonna look for the other 2 that’s cool you were able to get them all :)

That does sound cool, I’ll have to see if I can find the first episode anywhere

Oh no. I saw the never ending story :surprisepony: I only remember 2 things about it, the strange dog/dragon creature, and the horse! I hated that scene so much as a kid, I refused to watch the rest of the movie ^^;

Return to Oz was great! I really liked that one

Thank you for all the suggestions everyone! :purpleheart:
For my birthday I think I’m gonna go with Nico the Unicorn :D but now I have a whole list of ones to watch after tomorrow too!
(And if you think of anymore feel free to keep telling me ;) )

Artax's death always tears me up whenever I watch that movie. I will admit, that one hasn't aged as well as some of the others mentioned here... ^_^;; (I still enjoy it, though!)

Hope you enjoy Nico with your family. Great classic!
Happy birthday!

We drove by a bog and the kids wondered why I yelled ’Artax!’. I had to explain, and they’ve seen the movie!

Right? I mean I was like 8 or 9 or something but that doesn’t belong in a kid movie  good that the rest is enjoyable though :)
Nico does look great, and thank you! ^_^

Haha I can imagine that seemed pretty strange to them!

I would have done the exact same if I were you!
Can't let an opportune moment like that pass by.

It's amazing what got approved in kid movies and shows back in the day! XD
That said, I'm glad they remained faithful to the original novel... Bad things tend to happen whenever changes are made. ;)
