Once upon a time, I won a Kimono pony from a seller in the UK. The auction ended on May 27th and I paid right away. Thinking that it'll take a little time to get all the way over here, I gave it a couple of weeks. WELL, the husband brought in an envelope yesterday that was from the UK. I was SO excited!! I ripped it open and LOW and BEHOLD ----->

Hmmmm...this is the auction link ---> http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5976975313&rd=1&sspagename=STRK:MEWN:IT&rd=1

That's a Kimono that he listed, right? My eyes aren't deceiving me, right? I guess I kind of took a gamble since his feedback is less than favorable and it really wasn't that much. I e-mailed him RIGHT AWAY and attached this exact picture to it. I asked him if this was a mistake and how was it going to be resolved. NO answer. Perhaps he's kind of slow getting back? Or do you think I have been had? I will try to remain patient since this happened just yesterday. But you think a seller would respond ASAP if there were any issues. In any case, I'm going to file with eBay and paypal should he not answer by the end of the week.

I just wanted opinions. How would you react if you were expecting a Kimono and THIS guy popped out of the bag??? It's kind of funny since he's SOOOOO ugly!! Ughhh...Hopefully I'll hear something from him soon.

well, It is purple atleast

I hope the seller comes to his sences, there is no way any decent collector could misstake THAT for a Kimono :p

Yeah. At least it's a light purple  and I hope he's not thinking I'll be stupid enough to think that THESE are the Xmas markings and that I'll just walk away. This pony has Xmas candy markings on her. She's just in horrible condition. And there's no note or anything. What you see is exactly what I got. I think I'll give it one day for him to respond (you know...give the seller some time to make good) and then I'll file. This is the first time out of my six year eBay career that anything like this has ever happened. I'm just glad it wasn't a high-priced item. I would be beyond PO'd and extremely impatient!! OH...and no, I didn't see any other auctions that were ponies. I looked at everything he had sold during the auction time and after. I really hope it's a mistake and he'll fix it. A negative would hurt him more than it would me.

Thanks guys. I will file tomorrow just because I am a seller also and would like a chance to resolve issues before going forward. Plus I'm going through this MASSIVE lot of G1s, G3s and fakies I won on eBay that came in the mail today. :D So that made me MUCH happier!!! I need to get them all inventoried, seperated and then into the bath they go. Then off to play poker tonight!! :) I will make sure to file if I don't hear anything by tomorrow and will let everybody know what happens. I appreciate all the responses. I agree that I got duped. Feels kind of like a punch in the stomach. But I will NOT be taken!! :p

That's what I was originally going to do...give him a few days. I had asked him about shipping before the auction closed and it took him a little over a day to respond. I guess I got a little excited...it's probably because of all these new faces that I put all over my desk. Sometimes LOT auctions can overwhelm a person. I will continue to remain patient...I mean...it did get here in a resonable amount of time for it being overseas, so that was an A in my book. Thanks for giving me a good smacking. :D I needed to be brought back to how eBay needs to work. Communication and patients. :worthy: Thank you wise one!

I would take a screenshot right away in case he takes the picture down.

It could be an honest mistake, but even so you didn't get what you thought you were bidding on. He needs to either send you Kimono or refund you.

GOOD NEWS!!!! I just got a reply and he apologized profusely!! He told me to keep what I have and he will be sending the correct pony! WOO HOO!!! Drinks for everyone!! *throws confetti*

Thanks ya'll!!

Hi there,

Meh... try not to get too excited. Remember... a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush. Or so to speak. :p

I'm not saying he won't send you Kimono, and I'm not trying to bring your hopes down! :D I'm just saying that you shouldn't get too excited until you have Kimono in your hands. Mmkay? :D

Oh I know how it works. I think I'm mostly excited about getting a response from him! LOL!

She's beautiful. :) Congrats on finally getting her. Thank goodness the seller seemed to be honest.

I too guess it was just a mistake. Maybe the wife was at her computer checking out her sold items and yelled at her husband to "Put that purple pony in an envelope It sold!" or something to that effect. I could see that happening at my house if I allowed my hubby to package up ponies. :)

oh wow, that is so not cool! I would be so ticked, maybe it was supposed to go to someone else.

I had a simular thing happen to me once. I won Fireball and Masquerade in a lot and I recived a Carebear (My heart must have stopped for a few minutes)
By mistake the seller had sent my ponies to France where someone wanting the carebear lived.
We manage to clear everything out and I got my ponies :)

Good thing you got your Kimono! She's beautiful!

He didn't ignore me at all the entire time and it was actually a pleasant transaction other than the horrible mistake. I've learned a LOT about being patient on eBay...especially when things are coming from overseas. I left him positive feedback because he really did go out of his way to make me happy and it really was human error. Kimono is beautiful. I just LOVE that pony!!!

So another eBay issue now closed!! :D

Oh poor guy. I just looked at his feedback and seems like he's having a problem with another buyer. How awful.

oh I know how people feel with unfair deals, someone tried to scam me into giving him more pokemon cars claiming he 'lost them in the post' but magically SOME of them appeared.

Kimono's a beauty, nicely done *gives cookie*

Uhrm...the fakie isn't THAT bad, I think he's kinda sweet.
Then again I do own a few fakies so I have to say that
