Hello everyone, I love when I see you sharing your ponymails and new finds! In my case this week I recived a lot of ponys and I want to share it with you!. This is probably very exciting for me and new because I only collect ponys from my country but I love Gimmicks and we don't have lots of those here. So I ended up buying my first Hong Kong Pony! which is... Curly Locks from the Brush 'n Grow Ponies! I'm so in love with it! Any advice on opening her up because she has short hair and I hope it is because the hair got stuck inside! Let's hope so! ... to much talk... show the pony please!

This is her! what do you think? any Advice on how to open her to fix the tail?
So now this is the G3 ponys that I bought because I wanted the G1 Curly Locks and the seller was not selling it alone... but these are the first G3 I have now! And they are adorable!, probably a little dirty but still super good condition...

What do you think? Is there any pony that is special in this lot? I barely know about G3! I Only know the name of Scootaloo that I think is such a pretty pony. Besides that all of them have such colorful manes and I'm in love with my first G3 Lot! Now I need some advice because all of them can't move the head? is it normal for G3? I thought they may have been glued? but I don't know..

Thank you for reading till here! Any advice on what to do with these is gold for me! ♥

Congratulations on your first Brush n grow pony! Unfortunately there is not an easy way to remove a BnG’s head as their mechanism makes it difficult to do without breaking it and not being able to secure the head again.

But have you tried to pulled her tail? A BnG was designed for the tail to be wound up inside the body and you tug the tail to release it and then crank the head to get it to go back inside.

Here is what the inside looks like:

There’s a small nub that should be on the top of the post but that usually gets broken and lost in the head (also has its own mechanism) so it’s difficult to repair securely.

This is a great lot of ponies! Growing up with G3’s I know that some heads move and some don’t. In the middle, I think they’ve put Skywishes’ head on Cotton Candy’s body? How very odd! I’ve never seen this before. Skywishes is in the diva pose which is why that one stood out to me there and is a childhood pony of mine. Is this what some people call a “Frankenpony”? I’ve seen the term around just not so sure is that’s the definition.
On the end of the middle row is Scooter Sprite. She came with the Riding Along set. One of my childhood ponies she is.
As for the others, I wouldn’t be able to name the rest from memory without StrawberryReef.com because they’re not ones I’ve seen often or in my collection. Again, fantastic lot! :lolpony:
EDIT:
Wow, I just had another look and you have another Skywishes head on the second pony’s body on the top row! I think her head is on the pony on the end of the bottom row! This is amazingly crazy, I think the previous owner was a mad pony scientist!
Another Edit:
Skywishes, Pineapple Paradise and Spring Fever:

Looks like Pineapple Paradise has her own head. My mistake, tails were the same sort of colour scheme. Never seen her before either, what a beauty!

amazing g3 haul! 5 out of those 9 are ones i've always wanted <3

from left to right from top the bottom these are the names of all the ponies:
spring breeze
spring fever
scootaloo
tangerine sunset
cotton candy
scooter sprite
island delight
crystal lace
pineapple paradise

scootaloo, tangerine sunset, scooter sprite, island delight, and pineapple paradise are the ones in my WL. also yes, like storm said, the heads not moving is pretty standard for G3 apart from some poses. i have a few with moving heads- tropical surprise, all my heart & butter pop to name a few.

I also noticed the head swap on cotton Candy! I was looking at her mane and thinking, that’s not the color mine has haha

Also, it is normal for the head's to not move on the earlier G3’s. That gimmick was added later in the line.

Thank you for the pictures! I had no idea how it could look in the inside, is this mechanism glued into the ponys body? Or only attached because of its dimensions? I tried pulling her hair but it Doesnt change anything, i know there might be a posibility that the hair has a cut. But i Cant move the head also…. So i thought.. maybe the whole mechanism is stuck and luckily there’s hair inside!

I didnt even realize the head thing in the ponys and didnt know that term? Is this comming from factory like this or just the owner before might have done that? Thank you for the very descriptive comment loved it!

This isn’t something that happens in factories so the owner before might have done it. I’ve only seen the term being associated with customs when creating a new pose from two different ones
